This is one of the most jaw dropping and emotional movies I've ever seen just the music playing in the background as the great RMS Titanic is rising from her cold dark watery grave always makes me cry everytime every single time I watch the film I cry at that particular scene in the movie
Hi yeah I'm an emotional wreck at the end of the music gets me every time Also have a really spooky feeling I'm watching a part of one of my former lives which I don't get watching other titanic films 😱 Maybe it's the emotion of the music 🙂
Beautiful opening suite by John Barry.. and all his previous James Bond themes. The British have a lot to be proud of from this gifted composer..!!!! He will be remembered as well as any other classical composer.
This is not the only time a Olympic class will raise from the grave as one ship wich has never gotten as much recognition as her older sister the britannic will return not just in a film but for real
I remember watching this as a child at my grandmothers house. It was a decent enough film but the music was outstanding and now I can appreciate it even more. Thanks for uploading :)
All of those years at the bottom of the ocean with pressure and water taking it's toll on the metal and wood would make it almost impossible and since it was finally revealed that the ship broke up during it's final moments.
Incredibly beautiful composition that really gave feeling to this movie. The blend of strings and brass gave this movie a majestic and yet mournful feeling. Take away the theme song and Barry does a wonderful job of capturing the sound and feel of Gilded Age lost. This equals his brilliance for the soundtrack of Somewhere In Time.
This movie is a goddamn classic an underrated classic I absolutely love it! The scene where she makes it into New York and there’s the boats it just makes me bawl my eyes out every time *EDIT* This soundtrack it's so inspirational!! They really don't make soundtracks like they used to!!
Raise the titanic has some really endearing scenes, Like the Titanic coming into New york harbour and the discovery of the ship along with The Alec Guinness scene, A shame that the rest of it sucked, However I'll end my comment on a positive note, John Barry's score for this film is pure gold. It really pulls on the heart strings.
OMG STUNNING i first heard this music when i was 15 years old , it sent shivers up my spine , especially in the film when TITANIC RISES was crying with emotion almost 40 years later it still has the same effect . THANK YOU JOHN BARRY FOR MAKING ME APPRECIATE SUCH WONDERFUL EMOTIVE MUSIC XX
Fantastic soundtrack.. The moment she comes up out of the water is quite something.. My late dad was a tatanic fan loved this movie.. And sadly alot of the great cast are no longer with us.. Including the great richard jordon.. Very underrated actor.
❤ From the minute the music starts I just want to burst into tears. I haven't watched the film once without crying. The ' Queen of the ocean' should never have sailed - she was doomed before she started. Even with all these new liners none will ever come close to the Titanic. She was sent to her grave. She will always be the Queen of the ocean'.
He won't let them. He hated what they did to "Raise the Titanic" and "Sahara," and won't sell movie rights to any more books. If they'd just tell the story he writes ... but Hollywood can't do that, apparently.
¡¡¡¡This is one jewel!!!!.....Is PURE GOLD!!!! ....And for me other thing..... All my life at a young age I have been fascinated by the Titanic story! ... There are many coincidences and mysteries still unsolved .... But back to the music ...It is glorious and your video too!!!!.. One bog houg always for you... and Sweet dreams!!!
Your fascinated in the titanic’s story eh? I suppose you have heard of her younger sister then? Well here is somthing for you to think about, the story of the Olympic class liners is not at the end yet
I saw it three times in 2 weeks when it first appeared in cinemas. A riveting movie and score! This is from the re-recording by the City of Prague Orchestra conducted by Nic Raine.
you can hear a lot of somewhere it time music score in this that john Barry done both. Enchanting and powerful at the same time and that whats films music of today is missing
@@rebeccagriggs3262 well, she is in a bad condition not only because she broke in half but also because of bacteria weakening the metal. So even if she hadn't split it wouldn't be possible to raise her in one piece.
The producers said at the time it would Have Been Cheaper To Lower The Atlantic! The Alec Guinness part looks like it was filmed in St Ives, Nice video one of Barry's best.
The first time I watched this was because Richard jordon was in it but didn’t know John Barry did the score till I saw the credits this was a grace for all the lost souls who perished God rest them
I watched this film in the cinema when it first came out. Film was too long and wordy with very little action until 2nd half and then last 20 minutes made up for it with the Titanic rising from the seabed with the wonderful music soundtrack and the scenes as entering New York Harbour. The times I have seen it on TV always love seeing the ship rising from the sea and the perfect musical soundtrack. Worth seeing the film just for the wonderful music soundtrack and last 20 minutes.
Valdez244:-- Thanks for the Video "Raise the Titanic" It was Great & a reminder to me .IT was a reminder to me . I live in Newfoundland it happened of our cost. God Bless! M.S.C.1.
This song forces me to think about the potential career that could have been Titanic. Would have the Titanic been left in the shadow of her sisters? Would she survive the great war? What if in amazing foresight she would be preserved? That is how I feel atleast.
I love the RMS TITANIC she is not damaged yet she still okay and I don't know what happen to his 2 smoke taent and I love the music 🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🛳🛳🛳🛳🛳🛳🛳🛳🛳🛳🛳🛳🛳🛳🛳🛳🛳⛵⛵⛵⛵⛵⛵⛵⛵⛵⚓⚓⚓⚓⚓⚓⚓⚓⚓⚓⚓⚓⚓⚓🚤🚤🚤🚤🚤🚤🚤🚤🚤🚤🚤🚤🚤🚤🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢
My late father's childhood friend John wrote the music for this movie. Producer Lew Grade said at the time " it would have been cheaper to lower the Atlantic "
Well. The solution is obvious. RAISE THE BRITANNIC! Or… RAISE THE WORLD DISCOVERER! Or, as a documentary… RAISE THE CONCORDIA! But whatever you do, do not…. RAISE THE LUSITANIA! But maybe RAISE THE BISMARCK! And definitely RAISE THE CARPATHIA! But if only we could RAISE THE QUEEN ELIZABETH! ( QE, you will be dearly missed for eternity )
I saw this as a kid in 1984. When you see the ship coming into NY harbor. My Dad said "Well better late then never." Being 6 years old I didn't understand what he ment or really most of the movie. Then in 1985 my Dad showed me the news paper of the TITANIC being found. And that it had split in half. Being now 7 years old I remember asking. "Couldn't they just glue it back together and bring it up?" This was a good FANTASY movie for it's day. But knowing what happened to the TITANIC. No one really wants to remember this movie.
Well, there is a way to raise it. Surround the whole thing in a big tank and raise the ground underneath it as well ) trying to simply lift it would cause it to crumble, the tank means the ship won’t leave the water with huge force, which would also cause crumble ). Once it breaks the surface of the Atlantic, slowly drain the water and tow the whole thing on the MAERSK Alabama or something. Either that or keep the water in the tank, have her be this huge display on a barge at Southampton or something. But first, RAISE THE BRITANNIC! ( she’s in much better condition and in shallower waters ) Or maybe RAISE THE WORLD DISCOVERER! ( which hasn’t even sunk, it’s just capsized and could actually be saved without needing a huge water tank )
iTunes has the complete sound track by The City of Prague Orchestra. John Barry his James Bond movie scores, Out of Africa, Somewhere in time. Music creates something that reaches us deep down inside❤
Unfortunately this was a situation where the fantastic soundtrack eclipsed what was a mediocre movie. But nevertheless the superb John Barry helped it along to what was a pretty decent film considering the time period if was released in. But for me thanks very much John Barry for your genius musical composition I still love the movie and it's soundtrack.
John Barry could elevate a film. I know this movie got a lot of crap but I liked it. Wasn't it the producer that said it would've been cheaper to lower the ocean?
Isne kya Titanic khareed liya hai jo bharr nikal raha hai aur Titanic to do hisso me tut gaya tha ye to pura jhudawa hai hai😒 lekin ye jesa bhi hai achcha hai💘💗
Sadly, this will never be possible, as she is in a bad way..In bits, strewn all over the sea floor..But they didn't know this in 1980, before Bob Ballard and his team located her in '85. Still, a beautiful concept, with a mesmerising soundtrack and visuals for the time..
@@TheEmeraldMenOfficial the extra masts were added for continuity sake to make the model look like the old ship they bought to play Titanic. And Starblazers had the same problem with the Battleship Yamato. The story was written long before they found the wreck.
The Emerald Men Official the real ship they used was a scrap ocean liner that had mast like this,so it brought the large model and the scrap ocean liner together!
Well… there IS a way to raise it… Get a huge tank, surround all the wreck’s pieces, and physically lift the wreck. Oh yeah, and the ground below it. Do it slow, and gradually, the mighty Titanic will see the surface once more. Right after we raise the Britannic. Like, nobody talks about her anymore and she’s in much better condition. I’m raising her first.
The whole thing about the ship never breaking. But I’m not sure either. If the Costa Concordia’s whole starboard side was crushed inwards from less than a year grounded on the rocks, they can’t possibly expect a fully submerged ocean liner from 1912 to still have INTACT RIGGING!
I’d have you raised in 2012 if I could, so you could meet another raised liner. She’s gone now, but maybe I’ll raise your sister first. She is in shallower water after all, won’t cost as much, and it’ll show that I mean business. That means funding, which means you’re raised. Possibly means Bismarck & World Discoverer raised ( that and the SS United States is saved, Queen Mary is also bought, QE2 is rented and they’re all towed to where the QE is buried for a gathering / memorial, maybe that includes the replica non-sailing Titanic & Titanic II ), but Lusitania, Wilhelm Gustloff etc. are left where they are. Lusitania is in too bad condition and raising the Wilhelm Gustloff would be just sinful.
What if we build a giant rectangle around you (Titanic) and SLOWLY raise you so you wont fall apart then when you are in the works you get fully repaired and you become a floating hotel like Queen Mary.
The film wasn,t that good at all ......but the music , well , what do you expect from a Yorkshire born musician........so many incredible film scores written by him .......R.I.P John Barry .
