I love the way it turned out. I especially liked the contrast before you painted it. Both of you ladies are so talented. Thanks for trying something new for us.
Good job, best result. Love the colour. Thanks you have taught me how to stencil with paste. I’m a journaler and now I can give it a try with spackle paste especially on the hard front covers. I also have some decoupage items to try it out on too. Best regards from South Africa 💫
This is so pretty! I just found your page. Sounds like you're a Jersey Girl lol. I used to be. But I would love to know the wood putty you used and love love that stencil. Where did you get it?
Hello there, That came out gorgeous! How thick is your stencil and where did you get it? Beautifully done rescue on that piece. Even the putty color looks great. New subby here....looking forward to seeing more of your creations.. 🍁Happy fall
Is wood putty the same as wood filler? Or putty the stuff that used to be used in glazing windows? Think I’d have vacuumed up the dust rather than put it all in the atmosphere and all over my living room furniture…….
How is this holding up? I would be afraid that the Wood Glue would crack... I have been refinishing wood furniture for over 30 years and have seen that the Wood Glue if used too thick it cracks... This would love to do this... but worried.
We haven’t had any issues. We do prefer the joint compound and recommend that. We typically use the joint compound and can say that we have had no issues.
😒I'm sorry, but the veneer on that piece looked as if it were coming up in about 3 to 4 areas. Think I would have TOTALLY redone the veneer before I went to so much trouble with the Stencil.
