Fence looks like it will work. Since your roof pitch towards the door, consider flat rocks or patio tiles from Bigbox store to make a splash zone for the rain. That will keep to mud off you building and door. Thanks for sharing

Overhead predator net is a must! Eagles,hawks, and falcons are as predatory as raccoons , weasels, fisher cats.

Aerial predators? I'm sure there's eagles, hawks, and owls about. Aviary netting would be a small investment to make concerning air bombardment...lol 😂😅 The chicken wires a good call, making sure to keep it off the charged wires. Love ya'll ❤

We have hawks and eagles in our area. The EASIEST DETERRENT is to run high test fishing line on trees or tall stakes. Birds will see the line as a hazard and not come down, I promise. Mother Earth News magazine tip from decades ago. Plus you do not have to get crazy with the number of lines you run…

Chicken processing is fairly easy. Sheep processing is pretty easy. Pig processing is a bit harder just because of the size. Cattle take to a processor. Net over your birds or the chickens become a free buffet for airborne predators.

Since they’re more free ranging there is no true protection. The grass will get tall which will help a bit, a scarecrow in the fence as well as us being around as much as possible and them being in the coop at night!

If possible a chicken tractor seems to be the best answer to hawks, owls, eagle etc yet every day give the birds free range inside the tractor. A friend with a good sized bulldozer could help even the slopes. Throw in a pig as part of the deal and maybe that'll do the job. Nice video in mountainous terrain.

Oh,oh!, not much of a jump for a bobcat or coyote to step over and help themselves to some fat meat chickens, guys. Then there's the sky predators that you will also have to worry about. I know you are smart and have thought this through, but I don't want to see what happened to your egg layers with the bobcat again.

Almost every channel on RU-vid does this type of advertising as there is🎉any way to block the ad. I just fast forward them and pick the video back up. This pays them revenue or they couldn't make them for the fun of it.
