I was one of the ppl that made a negative comment. It said the way they had the title of the video was he was calling out Marty. I like all of there videos. Just didn't seem right to me.

Mike as a welder there’s no reason you can’t take some side gigs to make extra cash while still working on the homestead and growing the channels. You could take gigs where you work 1 or 2 days a week welding making extra cash and have the rest of the time for the homestead and channels.
Welcome to the real world puffballs and snowflakes. Strong young people such as Mike and Liz are open and straight. You don’t learn and gain experience living in a bubble. They are honest about the successes and failures. You learn from history so you don’t make the same mistake twice. Mikes honesty on what has worked and what hasn’t worked should inspire you to take heed so you won’t make the same mistakes with poor results. Watching Marty he would probably look at it as what can I learn from that failure so it can be modified into a success for future clients. Mike, you and Liz are truly an inspiration.

Put a 225 gallon tank in ground with a submergible pump in it build a grate over it when it rains you can pump it out . Could put in heating element for a hot water tank if it’s going to freeze .build a pond for your local game fill it with this water .
I like where you say you're taking laid back living. We will definitely stay tuned. We've tried to keep our channel genuine and I'm sure it has slowed our growth, but if we can bring ideas and experiences to peoples lives, mission accomplished! Keep up the good work!

It's interesting that ppl say if you leave a negative comment, you are a troll, snowflake, too soft or a keyboard cowboy, it must be awesome to have never said or had a negative comment about a product or video your entire life. No one is saying anything bad about them, it was the title.
peoples have pointing out some good point. the thing i would be very worry about is all those big rock pile up against your block wall. over time the frost will push them and crack your block wall. I would remove those big rocks and replace it river rocks near the block wall . Then fill the rest of the hole with sand. also as those rocks move it could also crush your pipe you just put in.
Mike always be yourself, if others can’t appreciate or don’t like it… honestly you don’t need those people anyways. You can curve the content toward catering to subs but always be yourself and true to who you are while doing so.
The “drain” he installed was not the main issue he even states in the video is the wall to prevent the landslide from crushing you and implies the drain should be improved later….. you even missed the “taken for granite” joke he told you. So if you understood what he was telling you a video should not even been done

I'll be honest with you Mike, the idea of Liz in less videos is quite disappointing. Love her energy, her attitude and mostly her smile. The changes will have to sell themselves in my opinion. Just don't go too overboard and run people off😨😨. It sounded a little like you were the 1 that started this channel, but it was BOTH of you that made it work---please don't forget that. As far as Marty goes, I wouldn't apologize any more about anything. I can't believe that there was all that much thought that went into some of your projects, unless you had months of back and forth communication with the show. I have suggested more than once to get your viewers involved in new projects BEFORE taking them on. Some of us might have a thought or 3 to offer. What have you got to lose???
Good for you and Liz. I respect the decision for one of you getting a job to help out. When my wife and I were in our twenties we had a business going that took a long time to become profitable. Since my wife was amazing at running the business, I went and found a job with some former workmates that had started a business of their own. That business went well and lead to my career in automation and robotics. The business my wife and I had - we sold it as a profitable business ten years later. It’s a marathon and not a sprint. Keep taking one day at a time, keep making mistakes and work through them, and keep making your life your own…… and once in a while go kill an elk. (We live outside Sandpoint and know how Elk hunting infects everyone this time of year ;-)

Outside of actual “Rocket Science” & Engineering most skills can be learned or even self taught and then you add the experience of actually doing the skills over and over. MOST people of average intelligence can do this. I can strip a vehicle to its frame and rebuild it completely except I never learned how to rebuild/repair an automatic transmission. I can build a building from the footers to the finish work, I need more experience w hvac. I can weld; arc, mig, & tig as well as solder & braze and torch weld. I learned the basics from a certified welder when I was 17 & am self taught by years of trial and error.

Honestly it never entered my mind once that you were bashing Rainey. It was something that was tried and failed not every project that they or anyone else works on, work 100%. And I'll bet people have had to tweak plenty of their projects to make them funtion better for them.
Im not a sue happy person but when they started using that company that helped them with the videos something changed and totally screwed what liz and mike had going. I would be suing them.
It's a shame on the people who attacked you. I bet there have been a lot of home stead rescue schemes that have needed amending after the Randy's have left. Marty and his team come up with suitable ideas to remedy problems but they don't alway work out. You have just hi-lighted one on your homestead. Just carry on with what your doing and stick to it you are doing a fantastic job. Get Marty back to sort your back problem too😂😂😂
