Rangers fought back from 2-1 down with three goals in the last five minutes to remain on course for '8 in a row'. Raith took an early lead from Peter Duffield after a flowing counter-attacking move but McCoist levelled before half-time with a penalty kick. Raith again took the lead when ex-Ranger Davie Kirkwood scored from the penalty spot before Rangers staged an amazing comeback, with two goals from Ally McCoist and a Gordon Durie penalty that sealed the win.

Raith had a decent side then, and played some nice stuff, the pitch on this game was pretty poor

I forgot how bad the pitch was bk then n we complain about the plastic pitch given the option not sure there would b many people arguing about plastic pitch

Kicking Tony Rougier, who had Gascoigne in his back pocket, out of the game helped. Not surprised theRovers eventually lost.

Did the ref not give a penalty to RR too? Deflect and deny ya mhank. No Beaton, Thompson, Clancy, and Gollum to help you out in those days, unlike now.
