So sweet Chef talking to Mummy. Our Rajma recipe has not changed since 50+ years . My sister makes awesome Rajma. Except for garlic rest is pretty much the same. One memory of Rajma is from hostel where they also served green chutney which i still like with it. Love to watch your recipes and presentation.

When i was 12, our family had a trip to Kashmir. There at a valley suddenly it started to rain so, we went to a dhaba. And there was this amazing rajma chawal served with loads of ghee, it tasted like heavon in mouth. Till now, whenever rajma chaval is cooked in home we still try to compare it like "Aaj toh kashmir jaise rajma bane hai"💯

I tried all rajma masala recipes of north and south indian available in youtube and finally got my innovation recipe. Cooked 14 hr soaked rajma with no salt and little water and one cooker vigil added to our homemade SAMBAR and boiled for only 4 minutes and ate after half hourtasted ultimate

So, I tried this today. Initially i didn't get the same color as yours and got a bit upset. But when i tasted it, it reminded me of the rajma chawal that my punjabi friend used to bring in her lunch. Rajma Chitta-1 1/4 cup Oil - 1/3 cup Bayleaf - 1no Black Cardmom- 1 Cumin -2 tsp Onion(grated/purie)- 1cup Greenchilli-1no GarlicPaste- 1tbsp Ginger paste -1 tbsp Turmeric- 1/2 tsp Kashmr lalmirchpwdr-1tbsp Corriander Pwdr-1 tbsp Nice stir & roast masala Tomato(grated/purie)- 2cup Salt Rajma Then roast it for 5-7min Then water - 5cup C put cooker lid on .wait till 1 whistle. After put on low flame Kasoori methi pwdr 1/2tsp Garam masala -1/4tsp Corriander ..cook it for 4-5 min Pour ghee on serving
Rajma chawal always remind me of vaisno devi 😋😅( there you get garlic ginger free rajma chawal. I was small when I ate it and it is my first memory of rajma chawal, now whenever I see rajma chawal I instantly think about vaisno devi)
