@@satyendrasingh-st5hv i don't think you understand anything for example we are not currently in war with anyone it's more or less peace time for the region and you expect people to join army for the country i think not most of the lower level foot soldiers join army because they do not have strong cognitive and financial strength to pursue further studies or to find other options for livelihood.. they join military as foot soldiers because of their family and to help their family to be financially stable, not to safeguard the country but it is their duty to protect the country so they do it as their duty and inturn say it's service to the nation but don't get me wrong it is indeed service to the nation and we should thank them for their service. But one will only give their body and mind to protect the country if they are sure of that even if they parish in (not an all out war )battle their family will be atleast be financially stable.. we can see it in case of russian army which too has a similar policy like agneepath and their poor performance in ukrain war, it could be because of many factors but one factor will definitely be the employment scheme of theirs. And also we can't take Ukranian army as an example for successfully implemented Agneepath scheme because they are in an litteral crises for their state and not to mention the help from the US EU aswell as the poor performance of the Russians Also i am just a 17 year old writing this so sorry if i said something offensive or wrong i just had free time so i just wrote all this

I repeat, I am a Patriot, and I am very serious on this issue, agar aaj ke time me Himalaya nahi hota to China aaram se hamare upar hamla karke Ladath, Arunachal Pradesh leleta aur ham dekhte reh jaate..... Just for a reference, China ka official defense Budget hai around 300 Billion USD aur India ka defence Budget hai 75 Billion USD.... Aur China apni actual defense budget chupata hai, wo around 500-700 Billion aaraam se hogi kyuki China ki GDP 20 Trillion USD hai, India ki recently hi 4 Trillion USD huyi hai.

Agree with what rahul said, just a point tho, he could be better at rebutting the points made by the Rajnath singh. 1. Agniveer will be paid compensation in state of war, which is not usually the case. 2. No pension will be given to 75% of them 3. In us and Uk this scheme is called tour of duty, you cannot compare Uk and us with india with totally different demographics economic situations and the way they see the army. People in india join the army (being very frank here) as they don’t have a lot of other opportunities in the civil sector. Yes they do love the country and will die for it but a major factor is the economics behind it. Another thing I’d add is that imagine a agniveer on the frontline, he knows there is death in front and life behind him, will he stand his ground as fiercely as he would if he knew that after his supreme sacrifice his family will be taken care of his daughters future taken care of and not be left behind without an earning member in the family. I know i would think twice. I have few more very deep and major points which I’ll keep forward if you guys wanna know. This plan (agniveer) will severely hinder our armed forces fighting capability and what Indian armed forces are known best for, our incredibly disciplined and skilled soldiers.

Modi administration mismanaged economy so have to spend 2.36 lakh core on food ration 81.5 crore Indians. After so much spend, there is no money for defense. So most of defence budget is spend on salary and pension. That's why Government introduced Agniveer - to save money on salary and pension and also on recruitment as only 25% Agniveer continue after 4 years.

Nobody forced anybody to run and join the Army. Yes, there is scope of improvement in Agniveer wrt absorption percentage in Army and Sister services, salaries, leave policy etc. I was only driving home the point that SSC officers don’t have pension too.. which is the major point of contention against Agniveer scheme And for your kind info, nothing I have mentioned so far is half baked.
