Indian Army entry level post sepoy gets a pension of around 20000 rupees per month..... And here he got 98 lakh and 67 lakhs is due. Total 1.65 crore..... Considering the current 98 lakhs, if he keeps it in bank he can get around 8℅ interest yearly in fixed deposit under senior citizen scheme.... Which roughly around 65000 rupees per month which is close to a pension of a Major in Indian army...... And another 67 lakhs is due.... U can calculate urself what will be total if due amount is credited in his bank account

History repeats....after sometime one will find infighting among family members for their share of compensation,like it happened post kargil war,wherein a newly wed girl who lost her husband took the entire compensation got remarried & old parents were left penniless.Dont know what happened with the parents

@@happyvollyshame on you man . Ajay Kumar willingly enrolled in army . He worked hard and earned the job . Why didn’t army gave him money within one month of span . His family contributed for the nation by giving their priceless son for the nation . Now why mlas and mps get the pension and officers in army get pension ? Why is this so . I know the feeling . Me myself serve in navy and some sailor died a few years ago (regular scheme ) and his family still hasn’t received the sum . They say it’s under process and documents are being verified . I mean they will get money after some time but why there is delay in all that . Guys like you demotivate the sole spirit of people who want to serve the nation and judge frontline soldiers . Why does the family wants to end this scheme all together? There may be other people preparing for agniveer... what about them? If one doesnt like the scheme and compensation of any job, then simply dont apply for it.. isnt that what we all do? If no one applies, then scheme would end automatically. There can be modifications in the scheme, but demanding to just end the scheme like Rahul Gandhi feels like they are just doing politics. Rahul Gandhi just wsnts to end this scheme because Modi brought it and he wanrs to show that see I am powerful that I forced Modi to end the scheme. @@subramanianvaradharajan8456 Its not an issue of 1 cr or 1.7 cr. There's something called dignity/pristige in life n being a called martyr. Moreover, DSP, Defence Salary package (Google it n u'll find all details including amount to be paid by the bank in case of death in service) is given to defence personnel drawing salary from a particular bank. So payment is made by the bank n not govt. Army also have life insurance where an amount is deducted every month from the salary, so if you add both bank n army insurance then the total will come to around 1 or 1+ cr.

Congress wants to close Agniveer , this scheme clearly says it is a 4 year training program and after that 50 percentage of them are inducted in regular Army , others will get job in CRPF, police etc depending on their abilities.during this Agniveer if some one loose life they will get compensation .this scheme was started to attract some youth population towards defence force who were simply wasing their time eanrgy doing nothing after their 12 th grade. It has lot of positive things in it .yes govt must include some suggestions to up grade it. But congress, has problem with it as it is guided by china , Pakistan ....😅😅😅

Rahul Gandhi said in Parliament what was told by the relatives of martyr. They themselves are not clear as to how much amount was received from army and state govt and break up. It is possible that after RG gathered information, some more money might have been sent hurriedly by Defence Ministry. One cannot ask the parents to show the passbook and papers.

The money received by the family is of bank insurance provided by the concerned bank where the martyr oh sorry Agniveer was drawing his salary from. This scheme is known as DSP, defence salary package. Again Army also have their own insurance scheme for which monthly deduction are made from the salary.. all these are life insurance money n not paid by the govt.

Let me clarify this the money he will receive from army is only insurance money ie 48 lakhs . Rest of the money will be credited by Provident fund deducted ie nearly 30 lakhs (including AGIS ) . But the money doesn’t matter . People like @vsn2024 are demotivating any person who is reading comments and wants to join army . The payment Ajay Kumar's family received so far are Rs. 50 lac from group insurance linked to ICICI bank salary account and 48 lac from non contributory army group insurance. But the family didn't yet receive any money from ministry of defence till today i.e. Ex-gratia of Rs 44 lakh, Rs 8 lakh welfare fund, Rs. 13 lakh approximately as balance of pay till completion of his tenure, and Seva Nidhi fund of Rs.2.3 lakh they haven't yet received. So the fact is that family of Ajay Kumar didn't yet recrive any single penny from the ministry of defence as Rahul claimed.

From this report what I get is they are disappointed that they are not liable to receive a pension and access to canteen facilites that is why they are asking to scrap this scheme. Their son/brother might have gone through the guidelines before he had gone forward with the process. His death was an unfortunate incident and an unbearable loss to the family but that doesn't give them license to say anything without understanding the gravity of the situation. The place where they are residing, and the amount they have received is more than enough for life. What they need is some basic guidance on the finance handling instead of instigation against the scheme.
