We use Pandit as a prefix before the name of Hariprasad Chaurasia or Shiv Kumar Sharma or other stalwarts of classical music and Ustad for Muslim vocalists/musicians. Its a kind of reverence that people should always convey. Otherwise there'd be no difference between them and with the other conventional singers. A musician has to earn this honour with severe process of training, learning, practice, and then giving tests with impeccable skill in front of the prominent musicians/singers. Often people with 20-25 years of such background fail to achieve such honour. So, I would urge you- it would be very kind of you if you use Pandit or Ustad before writing or saying their name. Just like Pt Shiv Kumar Sharma or Ustd Ali Akbar Khan.

Tabla accompaniment is by the one and only Pandit Anindo Chatterjee. Unbelievable sang at with the god of Santoor. May you both live for a 100 more years. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Indian instrumental.music is a treat to listen. It is not only treat to ones ears, it has very soothing effect be it Santorum, or Sitar or flute or Shanai of Bharat Ratn Ustad Bismillah Khan. A must to listen early morning while meditating or doing yoga.
