Rajon Rondo has established himself as one of the best passers in the NBA, always among the top 5 in assists year in and year out. Lets take a look back at his brilliant career so far and count down his 10 best plays!
Yup, that was after Wade's DIRTY takedown of Rondo. What in the world was Ainge thinking when he let Tony Allen walk in the summer of 2010 after Lebron had announced he was going to the Heat? And then he trades Perk in February, 2011 for basically nothing! As a result, the Heat were able to go to the basket at will in that series. If they had those 2 defensive stalwarts and Wade hadn't done Rondo dirty, the C's win that series, they were the better team. The Heat went on the lose to Dirk and Dallas in the Finals.
For everyone saying number 1 is a travel... Look closely, when he dived and took the ball, he always kept the ball on the floor, he didn't picked it up until he was in a standing position and then he took his 2 steps... perfectly fine, no travel
Voyaging123 No, you can´t run with the ball as long as its on the floor... you can however hold the ball with two hands while its on the floor and not make any steps, which is what Rondo did...
15-16 NBA Season, This Rondo Needs To Come Back! We Want The Triple a Double Machine! Hope He Signs With A Team Where He Can Be The Dominant Ball Handler Again
I was feelin bad for my mans cuz i thought he wouldnt get that 3rd triple-double. I went crazy when he actually did lol. To me Rondo is looking better than ever. Not just better than before, he plays with the same style, just better now.
Rondo is AWESOME TO WATCH, HE IS A a standout playmaker. Rondo is one of the best point guards currently in NBA,history, as far as passing and thinking on his feet, he could have been the best playmaker and passer but he has inconsistency, or just an on again off again attitude. All that being said this video is a great one featuring the times Rondo rose to the challenge and showed his talents. I LOVE HIS BASKETBALL MIND
I don't care what anyone says. I will forever stand-by the statement that Rondo in 2011-12 was the best pure PG in the league. Almost averaged a triple double, has one of the highest basketball IQs (imo), amazing foresight and vision, can come through in the clutch (got hot when KG/Pierce/Ray weren't scoring; 2012 against the Heat; the "National TV Rondo" phenomenon), and had the ability to make some of the most aesthetically pleasing assists I've ever seen. People always quote stats nowadays and shit all over him. It's true that a pure PG like Rondo doesn't mesh perfectly with the modern NBA (Rondo needs possession as often as possible to shine), but I'll be damned if he didn't leave his heart in Boston. You can just tell he doesn't have that drive anymore. But with the Bulls this post-season, he started to resemble his Boston self, and it was pretty glorious. It felt so nice to hear people admit that Rondo's absence was a bigger issue than they assumed.
He was insane two years ago... I wish I could relive 2009-2011 forever. Even though they didn't win any titles, I think that's when the team, as a whole, was at it's best.
They almost had a threepeat 2008-2010, but Garnett's knee cost them in 2009 while they were at the top of the league and coming off a championship season, and then in 2010 Perk got taken out by Bynum in Game 6 and they wind up losing that series in 7. So close, but not many today recognize how good they were and how close they came. It was the Big 4 at that point.
I will NEVER forget number 1 man I remember that like it was yesterday I was on a cruise ship feeling nice AF watchin that game. I'd what anybody say about rajon, when he was still out here in the bean dude was one of the best pgs in the league. Hopefully je can get his shit back together after this terrible year with dallas
there are a lot of great guards in the league but come play off time, it's gotta be rondo. one of the most unique players and hella underrated. i don't know any other PG who lebron will guard.
Roger Vance STFU, He's just as hardworking as any other NBA players. Don't go hating on someone like that when he deserves the amount of respect carrying a team to the east finals with no superstars on his team. You are not even in the NBA, so you are not qualified to insult a player who has won MVP and has worked day in and out for his award. What is your excuse? Go away kid.
2:35 is kinda epic if you think it's one of his career top plays and it's been done on Williams which also has a top career play with him recovering the ball from the ground, even if that ended in a pass. I think that's cool :)
i love rondo, he uses deception to help defenders pay attention to him..meanwhile as they are double or triple teaming him he has 1-2 team mates wide open..plus that ball handling is straight filthy
He's not the best PG in the league, he basically can't score, he is missing most free throws than DeAndre Jordan, he probably will kill Dallas offense... But, damn, who else can create plays from nothing like Rajon does? I don't care if he's not a top 10 player, he's my favorite player...
Rondo is a throwback. I want him to play for a good team. The Celtics are rebuilding right now and I would love to see Rondo on a winning team. See him play with good players and more athletic players would be awesome
@@JoeBro915 It won't ever change but it's not from lack of trying to develop a jumper; he has trouble shooting because his hands are so big and his arms are so long.
@@JoeBro915 Kawhi is more proportionate than Rondo. Rondo is only like 6'1 and has the arms and hands of someone like 7ft tall. That's why it's so awkward for him to shoot and it's also why he gets so many rebounds as a point guard.
As a kid who became a Laker fan in 08' (BOS Vs LAL Finals) I never thought that in the next decade, I would be so happy that Rondo would be re-signed by the Lakers.
