Speed up baling hay with a Baler Connection and a H&S high capacity 12 wheel v-rake pulling a Hew Holland 460 round baler.Case 115 magnum tractor pulling the hay train. Gerraldfarms
Putting up hay was one of my favorite jobs on the farm. The smell of newly cut alfalfa or even prarie hay was amazing. Very efficient operation here.......too bad they have to drive over the hay to start with....but I'm sure they aren't losing too much. Nice job !
That makes for some efficient baling. Take good measurements, you can add this to your operation Jacky. If you doubt yourself, another (recently deceased) RU-vidr, North Texas Hay built his power shaft to power either his square baler or round baler. Several versions of bale beds are on most Kansas farm trucks, usually can handle 2 bales. Because cattle are spread out on rented pastures or winter wheat field over the winter, it is necessary to travel to supplement cattle feed with baled hay. Some bale beds unroll the bales.
Thanks for watching. They seem to save time. Yea I herd about North Texas Hay. Thoughts and Prayers to his family. I’m taking good notes and pics for the future projects. Have a good week
WOW! Is this different than how we did it back in the 1960's! Things have come a long way. You remained cool and cordial even though you had some questionable comments. Good for you!
Thanks for watching and commenting. I enjoy making and sharing the videos. We do a live hangout every Sunday night. Drop by if you get a chance. Have a good weekend
@@GerraldFarms Thank y for the reply! Will see what's up on Sunday. If you are all modern farmers, I will be left out. But I could see it a good way to catch up. Wish you a great weekend also!
Thats a nice setup and sure is a time and money saver . I have been around setups with the rake mounted to tractor front 3 point and they pull the baler behind them like usual
Rumor has it that our across the fence neighbor has bought a baler follow V rake, haven't seen it but hear it is super expensive...... big numbers.......
I was damn that must be some high pto hp for 2 implements at once.... that I realized the rake doesn't run on pto, at that point i realized im an idiot. pretty cool setup.
Thanks for watching and commenting. I ask him and he never has any problem with it not making even bales. I’m pretty sure I have another video on the baler connect. Have a good one
Thanks for watching. I’ve never had a Baler with net wrap. I can’t find one cheap enough for me. But I ask him and he said it cost to much per bale and he couldn’t justify having that much more in every bale. Have a good one
@@GerraldFarms oh yeah. If your climate doesn't need it why spend the money!! For grazing bales I thought about Cecil twin with just a couple wraps. Then I dont have all the expense or hassle of taking wrap off. Cecil will break down.
Thanks for watching. Yea you can adjust it to make The windrows to fit the Baler pickup. I watched him bale and the bales looked good. I can see where it can save lots of time. Have a good one
@@GerraldFarms i had a 450 for a year. I hated it!!!! I but 4 clutches in it in one season.. almost caught fire on 3rd cutting of light hay.. JD dealer wouldn't give me much more than scrap price for it and it still looked new!!! New Holland definitely screwed up on that baler!!
Gerrald Farms I have a baler just like it (IH version) figured with the combo rake saving time the net wrap option would save add to that savings with time and weather of the hay.
