Glad to see the knee coming along. I, too, turned too sharp at an end one time - wasn’t pretty, but it was indeed a learning experience. That accumulator is a must purchase - best thing since sliced bread. Heck, I enjoy watching it.

So happy your knee is improving. When my husband had his mid-life crisis he bought a high powered professional dirt bike. Well………after 2 major crash and burns he decided he’d sell it and never told me until the man was here to pick it up. After breaking his left scapula (hardest bone in the human body) from the bottom almost to the shoulder socket, punctured lung and numerous broken ribs all the last crash he gave it up. He’d ridden all his life especially as a teenager. We lived close and they drove my parents nuts running the fields for hours a day every summer. Then he got sepsis in his rt knee. Hospital here we come. 7 days and surgery and totally out of his head. Hard recovery. So take it easy kiddo! You’re not Superman!!

neighbors deere did the same thing on the hood, I made him up a set of phony louvers, bolted them on and sprayed them the appropriate green, looks like it's speeding sitting still

Glad to see your doing good even on the stairs. Great video today came early though thought it was Saturday have to go slow for us old farts. I think listening to Brian on the last video guess he likes the bale accumulator. Very interesting spraying the thistles, hope you get some rain soon. Be waiting for the next one I'll be back.

Good job on those stairs. I have diabetic neuropathy, no feeling whatsoever below the knees, so no balance. That, combined with zero cartilage in either knee, makes stairs impossible. Wishing you guys safety, and blessings from Ohio!

Cole, great to see the leg is coming along better and another great video. Talking Accumulator, well back in my young lad years on the farm we didn't even have round bales. Only the little squares. Then came along a New Holland conveyor type loader on four wheels that attached to the side of a flat bed truck, my job was to put all the bales in a line. How time flies some 65 year later LOL.

Thistle, same noxious weed catagory in Pennsylvania. The crazy thing is some of the worst areas are on the right of ways on State roads... and they only mow them after they have bloomed and set seed.

That baler is an amazing invention...I only pulled the milkweed that grew up between the old steps and porch. I loved watching the butterflies and the lone bumblebee. But the rest of those darn sticker weeds...happily there weren't as many in the foundation gardens after 2 years absence!

At the beginning of this video, you were talking about how Jeff and your Dad had fixed the hood on the tractor and made the comment of" It doesn't look too bad as long as you don't look at it." Well, guess what, I (and I'm pretty sure other folks as well) couldn't stop looking at it, every shot in the video that showed the hood of the tractor and I was looking for those bolts. You said that they painted it, well guess what, it stuck out more after your comment,. More than if they would have just left it unpainted and we were stuck with all that mess, but OH NO you had to go and tell all of us about it and all that I find myself doing is watching for those bolts and I missed every word you said .So I had to go back and watch the video again(not such a bad thing, really) And that's all I got to say about that!

Carry a bag when you spray to put the thistle flowers in. If it has a head it will finish blooming if you leave it. Also wear gloves when spraying! Love your farm,great videos!

Rains almost every day here in Pa. Wished I could send you guys some. We had a dry one last year so I expected more than average rain this year. Loved what you guys show and the neighbors field joke busted me up

Yeah. When I was a wee youngster, we were picking up hay and I turned too sharp ended up hitting one of em electricity post putting a huge dent in the truck. Only thing my mom said, "Were you drunk?" To this day, I still plead the 5th...

On the hood repair “It’s close enough, that only the blind man, on a galloping horse, in the middle of the night would notice!” I’ll keep praying for rain for you guys, we just got another 2.5” in the past 24 hrs. Good seeing you walking up & down steps! Having had bilateral total knee replacements done, 4 months apart, it feels good being to do that! Yes it does hurt to kneel on them! Not having the pain after healing makes it worth it though. As much as birds love the thistle seed, like you, I can’t get rid of the thistle or the stinging nettles fast enough in our pastures. Very impressed that Cole knows how much water weighs? I was in the Cement business for 40 years & we used 8.33# when making mix designs. Also , impressed on how well maintained your equipment is . Enjoyed this video . Chas.,SC

Morning Sonne men. As you said Cole, a US gallon of water weighs 8.34 lbs or 3.78 kg at 62 °F (17 °C). An imperial gallon (UK/Aus) weighs 10.022 lbs or 4.546 kg, at its most dense temperature, which is 2.20456 lbs / L at 4 °C or 39 °F

Hey Cole… we recently picked up a Chapin Mix on Exit Sprayer and put it on the back of the side by side. Man! It is the best thing we bought for spot spraying. You can change the chemical tank and still have clean the water.

84degrees here in East Yorkshire, UK. and farmers busy cutting super crops of hay. Been a good year with plenty rain, plenty sun...all the grain is looking good too. Yorkshire UK is GOD's Own Country. Settled by the Ten Lost Tribes after the Roman Empire collapsed in 400-500 AD.

I was born in Deadwood S.D. and raised in Belle Fourche. Just to let you know here is history of this area.Orman dam or Belle Fourche dam at its 1911 completion by the United States Bureau of Reclamation, was the largest earthen dam in the world. The dam is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.[1][2] In 1989 it was listed among the approximately 250 Historic Civil Engineering Landmarks.

Its nice to see you guys getting some hay baled. Here on the east coast the fields are so darn wet most hay farmers haven't even got all the first cutting down yet. Let alone baled. It's been extremely wet for us this year.

Thanks for your great video. Was enjoyable following around with you and your dad. I trust you will get some rain soon. I know everyone is burning up and crops are needing moisture very badly. Praying you get rain soon. Thanks for taking us along on the rake, had not done that yet, neat operation and works great. Spraying weeds brings back memories-wow-they grow everywhere. Hard to kill sometimes. Just have to keep after them. Sounds like your knee is doing better. Going up and down the stairs with regular motion is good. Nice vid! Jd's accumulator is one of their best ideas! We put all the bales on one end of the fields. So much less chasing bales,quicker and less compaction on our fields!
