RAKING WITH THE MF 265 & A PUNCTURE 

We've always used small kit in our farm here in Devon. Up until this year been using 5ft6 pz mower and we still use a haybob but we bought a kuhn disc mower this year 7ft6 cut and an old four rotor tedder and we don't know ourselves now😂!

The same people saying you need a bigger Tedder probably 4 meters are the ones that would need a 220hp tractor to put it on. The thing is your not doing big acreage so why would you go to the expense of a contractors machine?

Interesting vblog. Just think in August next year Jack will able to do that job for you . Him being the age to drive the Tractor on the fields . Though when I was 10yrs old I was driving a Tractor tethering grass .. this was before Health and Safety went mad. If I lived in Tytherington I would volunteer my services and do that grass turning . It was me who said you had mice under your seat . Stay safe and Crack on .

what my dad would have said why buy a new one when the old one still works and a new one would work on the mf265 which you like driving any way and in a couple of years jack can learn to drive and use it

I would get the contractor to rake it’s cheaper than buying a rake gives you more time to do other jobs.

Better off having the facilities for slurry than a bigger Tedder!

It’s all well and good having a bigger Tedder but then you need an individual rake to match it . Not many good combination machines anymore. From what you didn’t say sounds like you have to put in a slurry store .

That's strange! I was rowing of for hay with a haybob on our ford 3000 and I managed to get a puncture as well

Richard haybob 360 May be a good one for you they can ted or be set to the side to rake like a single rotor rake

Are you putting a slurry system and tank in by any chance. Just a though with the hint of the tanker and that's expensive

You're hairs growing back well Richard. It's more important to sort out slurry problems then a feeder you may only use another couple of times this year, if your lucky

You Could always upgrade from a haybob 300 to a 360 😉 main benefit there is you can make double up rows which cuts down on bailing time

You could make hay ofthe grass

You would be better with the haybob because if you buy a teather you would need to buy a rake too atleast the haybob dose both

I guess you’re putting in a slatted / open tank instead of the slurry ramp 😛

Nothing wrong with a haybob they do 2 jobs in 1 for a fraction of the cost. They just take more time
