Hey man. Thanks for the review. I have been searching for this exact video, now I pulled the trigger for the same kit on my truck. Btw, I am just an average dad too. Keep the content coming for us old dudes
This is one of the videos I needed to see I got 2015 ram 2500 6.4L hemi with air ride and this set up is pretty much what I need but i think ill upgrade my shocks to 2.5 resivoirs. Nice lookin truck 🤙
Great review...recently ordered the same springs for my 2011...along with CJC tuned shocks; thuren trac bar, synergy drag link set up and the torsion sway bar. Just waiting for all the pieces to show up so I can get them on.
Bay Area here with a 2020 Ford Tremor with the Powerstroke. Carli Kit after the new year. Your RAM is so perfect and the 35's look great. I'm about to watch your 5k update vid with 37's. Looking forward to your thoughts shared during this next one.
Get alpha OBD. It’s 40 for the program and you can lower TPMS to 30 so they never alarm. Then you can run 40-45 psi in rear when you arnt hauling. My rear is up 2” with air links and is still not bad with nice lower air pressure. It helps a Ton. Plus alpha OBD also lets you change tire size and all kinds of other stuff.
I know this is an old vid but you have way too much air in those Toyos. That's why your ride is so harsh and suffering. You should have no more than 50 PSI tops in the rear and 55 in front. That will make ride much better. Your also not getting good wear on those 35s. My guess is your definitely wearing the tire of the centers more and not running even. Do a chalk test. Invest in a Procal to adjust your TPMS and speedo too. I have your truck but with the Hemi. Didn't want a Cummins.
@@avgdadgarage1982 Thank you for the response. I've purchased the Carli 2.5 leveling system that comes with a 1" spacer for the rear factory air ride. I was wanting to only install the shocks and springs and not install the rear spacer but wasn't sure if it would cause any issues with the airbags trying to level the truck.
@@Travis-k4f thinking back I actually did install a part from Thuren. It was an extended arm on the rear leaving sensor assembly… so the truck did raise about 3/4” in the rear. The longer arm tricked the sensor as to its position…It’s been a few years and I dont have that truck anymore so I forgot. The rear block is probably a better solution. At the time I do t think Carli made that kit with the block. Is why I went with Thuren
At the time I bought the kit Thuren was the only one that had a solution to bring up the rear end on a factory air ride truck (leveling sensor extension) also I think it was a little less expensive than Carli at the time. I believe they are the same quality. My buddy has same basic coils/shocks kit on his but Carli and it feels the same
@@avgdadgarage1982. I tow about once or twice a month I know you said that you also tow in your video I was just curious on how the front springs and shocks from thuren hold up
@@Jjsaba2008 they been great this far. I pull a 32ft toy hauler that’s about 12-13k when loaded and I have probably towed at least 4-5k mi over the past 2.5 yrs since this kit has been installed. Overall the springs/shocks have around 50k mi on them now and I notice zero difference from when I installed them. Seem to be holding up great. I would recommend doing the track bar like I did. I did not order it at first and after about 2kmi on just the springs and shocks I installed it. Tightens up the front end well👍
