GREAT VIDEO! I HAVE HAD ISSUES WITH WATER UNDER MY BACK SEAT. FROM OTHER VIDEOS ON RU-vid, IT LOOKS LIKE THE BACK CABIN VENTS ARE LEAKING. NOW I KNOW HOW TO REMOVE THE SEAT AND MOD THE BACK TO FOLD DOWN! THANKS FOR POSTING THIS VIDEO!
Bro your a Sav love it! Will be adding sub and shotgun mount that way I can raise em right. Ol boy can hop out with the shottie if we ever get into trouble
appreciate this content.. anyone actually measure how much room is back there? i have a sub/amp combo box im hoping i can cram back there. box measure 13.5” tall, 7.5” base narrowing to 5” at top. wedge box that was under seat of a silverado.
Fixing to do the same thing to mine, kudos on the speaker box that's exactly what I want I'd hate to lose my under seat storage since I got the Express model no doors I appreciate you doing a vid on it couldn't find anyting online 👍
Well shit yeah! Glad I could help out, Hey! ADDITIONAL TIP- if you just buy the Rockford Fosgate loaded P3s you'll be set, that's what I based my box dimensions off of!!! The fosgate r2s wasnt worth it to me, I'm going to be buying the p3 soon
@@Rep361Texas just got it done bud 👍 but yes need to remove the OEM panel it's to thick going to be installing some Dyno mat or equivalent to it thanks again
@@MoparHollics That's awesome!!!!! I'm excited it worked out well for ya'!!!! I'm probably not going to dynomat mine, idk I just don't hear much of a difference without the factory carpet... I'm still unsure though, lmk how well it works for you.
Quick question.. Would you rather get a first time (mild)cam from jay greene or moes performance and which one? if i go jg route Im saving about 2-300 less than the i3 and pcm bundle. Only asking because I would like to get it right the first time.
I would buy from either, their specs are really close on their mild cams so I one make more power than the other it wouldn't be much, I deal alot with Demon Motorsports so mine is more than likely to come from them. Matt has been more than helpful over the last 2 years. One thing I learned from him is the Diablos are good but if your wanting to have alot of Bolt-on's and wanting reliability the go with H.p. tuners, in the long run it was worth it on my build!!! Hope this was helpful buddy!!!
It works, same as It did from factory if tou cut it the right spot, if you cut to much it may not stay latched but if you follow the video youll be close, i actually made my description tight so you may need to shave a little more than me.
Yea I've been with them for 8 years out of there CC district. The mod should work the same on a rear bench seat, as long as the rear firewall hooks are the same as in the video you'll be good, I have yet to do one myself.
How is the road noise after this mod? How well do you like this mod? Sorry, I am talking sole on the Sub mod. Would you recommend this to someone else?
To be honest the box didn’t work out as well as I had hoped, Once I got it back there I lost all functionality of the seat, I ended up removing it for good shortly after i made that video.
Did your truck come with those storage boxes under the rear seats? I'd like to get something like that for my quad cab. Great video, I was trying to figure out if there was a way to get the rear seat to fold down.
Saddly the quad cabs didn't come with the compartments, I know I looked into doing them shortly after getting mine and it doesn't look like there is a simple way of getting them, but I'll definitely see if I can find a way around that as well!!! Glad this one was helpful!!!
Blew me away when I saw those vents on the back fire wall for the 1st time too...I also live in TEXAS..I was like thas where all my damn A/C is goin!!!! ...talking bout a mad fat boy
Haha, its necessary on these newer vehicles, believe it or not if they didnt have those or too much of one is blocked it could cause your rear window to shatter when you close your door, the cabin pressure along with the air tight seal cases the pressure to need an escape.
Ill admit that it didnt work out well, I ended up with the p3s in a under seat box and the amp on the back firewall. The box i made sounded good and hit well but not on lows, the sub was actually hitting the bracing in the back of the seat while doing any kind of excursion, the same sub in the under seat box stuffed well with cotton sounds just as good but not earth shattering of course... Now the p3s has more room to play without risk of damage. Hope this helps if you find a way to pack decent bang behind the seat please let me know!!!
Yeah, I haven't had an issues yet but I see subtle signs of leakage, mine stays in the garage during bad weather but I think the car wash can do the same harm, Thanks
Don't do what this guy did! Simply add 1" wood spacer underneath seat bracket and back seat will unhook and fold down easy. I installed a fox acoustic sub enclosure and wooden spacers came with it to lift the seat so that the box would fit. Same result without destroying your factory bracket. Thats why I always buy new vehicles because second hand vehicles always have previous owners that destroy them like this or worse.
Brother, If you think wood supporting the weight of your passengers during an accident is a better solution then go right ahead. In no world would I ever mix carpentry with structural in automotive. Hopefully you don't ever plan to carry passengers my guy. This is why I trust noone but myself to modify my vehicles. Some people claim they know what their doing and will put people in harm with such foolish things.
@@Rep361TexasI second that. Not only is he using something as dumb as wood but you’re losing full thread engagement of the bolts. They make em that long for a reason. I cut the hooks on my 2011 ram. Worked just fine.
Holy shit this guy modifying his truck from Lowes. He probably got longer bolts from Lowes also. Good ole cheapest bolt he could find that fits. Weak bolts and wood. That's exactly what I would depend on keeping my passengers safe. 😮
Mine folds down much easier than that. Just had to pull down on a hidden loop that was behind the seat. This video was a waste of my time. Change the title.
