I feel like this is just like the one meme where people put on high beams when they’re right behind you and you use the trunk filled with mirrors and open up to get right back at them lol. This one is it lol
Hey Tyler, thanks for sharing another interesting tutorial!!! I hope that you & your family made it safely through the tornado that plagued Kansas!!! 👍👍🙂
Out of curiosity--bypassing the harness relay; you're now pulling all that power from the battery that's feeding the lights directly through the accessory switch. Wouldn't it be safer to have the relay handle the power load? The AUX switches should be used as a trigger which is very low voltage. *Love the install, the lights are awesome! Another idea would be to trigger off the reverse lights (no need to flip switches).
The factory AUX switches are fused and relayed in the factory fuse box so they are rated to handle the load. It is a pretty awesome factory feature. Thanks for the view!
@@TylerPotter how many amps can those switches handle? For example, I believe the F350-F450 are rated up to 25-40 amps! Which is awesome--I'm assuming the TRX is probably comparable?
Ok I did a lot of searching but please don't quote me on this because the info is kind of hard to find but I believe AUX switch 1 and 4 are rated at 50amps, switch 2, 3, 5 and 6 are rated at 20amps.
Those lights will definitely be useful! I just ordered my trx last month I can't help but ask what is the height of your garage entrance? I'm hoping my trx will fit in the garage. By the way, also subscribed!
The last house was 8ft tall doors but this one is only 7ft. It fits but we are currently building again and will be going with 8ft again. Thanks for the view and sub!
Great video, Tyler. I have a quick question for you. If I'm wiring up this same setup and would like to trigger the red led with an AUX switch like the white lights, can I just hook that yellow wire up to one of the existing pink leads for an Aux switch? So for example, AUX 1 would turn on the white lights and Aux 2 would turn on the red running light? Your videos have been very informative. Thank you!
Those are numbers from the last time at the drag strip with the truck. Here is a video on the repair from Mopar on the drive shaft issue. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Jsxwmqu86a0.htmlsi=1JucD69gZIHcy23W
