Ramadan in the UAE for Non-Muslims 

We're a Christian family living in the UAE during Ramadan. Come along with me for the first week of Ramadan as a non-Muslim navigating the cultural differences during Ramadan. Our family navigates how different daily life is during Ramadan, especially how quiet the days are and how lively the city is after sundown.
As we navigate through the rhythms of Ramadan, you'll witness the love, respect, and admiration we have for our Muslim neighbors and their beautiful traditions. Through our lens, you'll see how the essence of Ramadan transcends religious boundaries. We have experienced such a spirit of compassion, generosity, and community. Our building staff even gifted us the biggest jug of honey I've ever seen. From the early morning call to prayer echoing through the streets to the excitement as families prepare for iftar, every moment has been special for our family to experience.
