I remember in the 80's, I bought one for my son via an ad in the back of a magazine.... I thought it was a toy... It wasn't! I still let him play with it.... Cuz it was the 80's. He turned out perfectly.
I bought that 3rd blood knife (replica) from this one knife shop that had their guy travel around Finland selling their products. It was somewhere early 90's. It cost me 350 markkaa (finnish currency back then which converted to these days with those currency converters that count the value from past times, it's something like 87 euros, or 100 USD) and I thought it was cool (hey, I was below 20 years old 😅). I actually still has it to this day and it's held up great. No rust, no bends, no cracks. Just as new. And I did have it with me when I served in the military (mandatory here). One guy there was mocking me about why do I have such an cumbersome knife with me. Obviously it wasn't for your normal use (like whittle cock shaped objects from wood while on camp... 😆 Called "leiri kyrpä"). He was talking about how it's just a toy with no practical use and he was right. It doesn't serve as normal knife and that's not why I bought it back in the day. But what I did was I took the knife and slammed it to the wall. It was those old shitty concrete walls we had in our barracks and it stick to it. I left it hanging there for a few moments and asked the guy to take it off and see if the edge had suffered any damage. He did and after he saw the tip was still as sharp as it was, he never mentioned anything about me carrying it around. Even our company captain once laughed when he saw it hanging by my side "Fucking hell, that's a sword!" 😅 Obviously I had practical knife with me too, but this one was for the luck. Still have it's original scabbard or sheath. It sharpens good, it keeps it's edge very well. It's so thick it doesn't bend. The wooden handle is still in one piece... for a replica it really is a hell of a durable and well done knife. It's made by Magnum (the knife is called Terminator) which I believe is Boker, but not entirely sure. Still, can be found with searching "Magnum Terminator knife". One thing I always loved about it (not only for the looks) was that when you flick it with your fingernail, it gives this nice high pitched metallic "pling" sound. It's pretty hard metal, but for all it's been through it never chipped or suffered anything really. Yes, long writing, but just thought I'd share some of the memories I've had with that awesome looking knife 😁
Congratulations on the video! Are the knives you show the same as the Link in the description ?, the signature edition model is out of stock only with the standard edition model ..., are they the same?
If you haven't figured it out already the signature knife is identical to the non signature minus the signature. I have the non signature model because its cheaper and I find the signature kind of cheesy. But thats me. Take care.
Hi I just ordered the rambo 2 mission knife from you and for some reason the money hasnt come out of my account yet? Also I have a cheap version of the knife and on the edge of the blade where its silver its has lines covering it from the machining , the Hollywood collectibles knife doesnt have that does it? It looks smooth and more polished. Thanks
All these knives are out of stock almost everywhere. In high demand and a good collectable. Definitely not for use only great for a display item. Not sure why people get that confused. Movie replica display items. If you want to use a knife there is better knives out there.
The first two Rambo knives are for show only, There is no full tank and the blade will SNAP off. I know this because ive owned both of them. Useless in the field. I tried to use the Rambo 2 knife in Afghanistan and the blade snapped off the first time i tried to chop with it
Because of the survival kit in the handle its not ment to be chopping trees down that's why there's a surated edge on one side of the blade and if it snapped that means you were swinging it to hard.
I have the Signature Edition of the Rambo first blood part 2, its amazing :D Story time: I wanted a big good quality knife , finally convinced my gf... secretly wanted a knife like Rambo had , but did not have the guts to actually go to knifes hops as the mature / adult 27 year old man I am .("Adult" **cough** sure ! ) and ask " I WaNnA KNiFe LiKe RAmbO" After the 3th shop ...with finding noting in my taste... I was losing hope :( We went inside the knife shop , and the owner approached my girlfriend. he asked: can i help ? ... she said: yeah my bf needs a knife ... He said: you came to the wright place ... (pointing to all the knifes around.) and starts laughing. She said: yeah but he wants a ...big ...eeehh ... pointy ...with spike thingy's ...euuuh And just when i wanted to step in and explain what i want ... she basically screams : HE WANTS RAMBO's KNIFE !!! *complete silence in the shop ... * *I was red like a tomato* oooh...he said.... we have all the KNIVES from rambo ... ... My hart stopped ... the kid inside me was screaming and i hear the song of Dan Hill (it's a long road) in my head... I bought it (with approval from my gf) ... now I'm marrying my gf ... DUH alsooooooo .... I still need a big quality knife to go camping with .... since ill never use this one :D (this makes my fiancé cringe,...she does not understand, but we do .. I think .. no? )
1 - First Blood (1982) 2 - Rambo (1985) - It was not yet called "First Blood Part 2" in 1985 3 - Rambo III (1988) - It was never called "First Blood Part 3" 4 - Rambo (2008) - "Rambo" 1985 was then changed to "Rambo: First Blood Part II") 5 - Rambo: Last Blood (2019)
Wrong! It said clearly on the old movie's title screen: RAMBO FIRST BLOOD PART II Here's why you are mistaken: it would often be advertised on theater marquees as simply RAMBO. Theaters were just saving letters.
@@VanDaRifleman Maybe that is why! I swear on anything back in the 80’s it was just “Rambo” to cooincide with “Rocky” Guess we will never know! But the we do know for a fact the original James Cameron title was “The Mission”
@@jdmikeg4 Truth be told, Stallone wanted that series to coincide with the Rocky series in that manner. It was comparing his successes with the Rocky films with First Blood that caused the title to transition from First Blood to the name of the main character.
