Rimuru has officially become a Demon Lord after defeating Clayman. Following Walpurgis, the Demon Lords' banquet, Rimuru's domain is expanded to include the entire Great Forest of Jura. Anticipating a flood of representatives from all races showing up to pay their respects, Rimuru decides to throw a festival to commemorate the opening of Tempest, using it as an opportunity to gain new citizens and present Demon Lord Rimuru to the world. Meanwhile, in the Holy Empire of Lubelius, home base of the monster-hating cult of Luminism, Holy Knight Captain Hinata receives a message from Rimuru. But the message is actually a fabricated declaration of war sent by some unknown party. Upon learning that Hinata is heading for Tempest, Rimuru makes a decision... Thus begins a new challenge for Rimuru, striving to distinguish friend from foe in a pursuit of the ideal nation where humans and monsters can prosper together.

But hardly anyone could figure out how to deal with her. Making her only peers the original demon lord and the shut in fairy queen. Being born a god is not all that fun it seems. So having someone who despite being so weak could make her turn in circles must have been refreshing.

Ramen so good, you shoot laser beams out of your eyes! Also, I love it when one of the "main" characters have their internal dialogues. We can hear her inner thought but to the other knights, Hinata is ignoring them and just silently staring at some weird food they've never seen before for minutes on end. The only actual words she said in this clip are "We're going in" and "hot" lol

I enjoyed this entire part of the book as hinata and her companions experience the sheer quality of life improvements rimuru has introduced to his nation and the surrounding areas. They expect a demon lord tyrant or whatever and instead they see a philanthropist who seems to be almost entirely focused on making life better for everyone and asking for nothing in return really, beyond "Admit we have the right to be a nation and treat us like any other ally." Even these hardcore super dedicated to "Monsters must be killed, period" religious zealots are shaken by what they experience on this trip.

this season is a bit too much talk and i'm not happy about the tension between hinata and rimuru... honestly, they were finally about to make up... why did rimuru suddenly challenge her to a duel? WHY?! i don't understand it... was this manipulated or so? i mean honestly, for like 3-4 episodes we're only focussing on tension that we know are simply manipulated and/or misunderstandings it's so exhausting i'm already starting to skip... but this scnene per se was wholesome.

generally in isekai manga`s. they tend to have superiors average ingredients but undeveloped food culture. with meat being on the expensive side. together with tensura`s abysmal coin economy. where in some or most cases, wages exist from provided needs and nothing more. i mean first thing people was surprised about when being defected to tempest was having days off and allowance. in other words the average is being a black company.

Japan doesn't fool around with ramen. Its like cheeseburgers for Americans. It's a point of national pride. Notice how detailed they animate the ramen. I wonder if they might of brought in some of the animators from Food Wars for this scene. When the spoon enters the soup, the detail is amazing. They must of spent many hours drawing that bowl of ramen. Rimuru clearly went into great detail, or perhaps shared his memories like he did with Shizu. The bowls, the atmosphere of the restaurant. The special spoons, chopsticks. Rimuru spared no detail in recreating the genuine Japanize ramen experience. They also put Rimuru's likeness on everything, the bowls, spoons, pudding, his slime face is everywhere. At the bottom of the bowl too, so people know who gave them this wonderful food. Then they travel on Rimuru's highway system, with campgrounds and inns. The kind of travel from our world.

@@rhiethreal Well Rimuru, intentionally or not, acquired REAL power. Im not talking about his strength either. He acquired his own nation, influence, allies, and dedicated much to establishing functional economic ties to the rest of the world. He can get virtually anything he wants if he doesnt already have it. He has all the power and resources he needs to accomplish his goals regarding wanting to live comfortably and his past life in Japan provides all the references he needs to create that kind of future for himself. Considering his goals I have no doubt that even if he didnt have Great Sage/Raphael to help, he would STILL find a way to make Ramen and Sushi.

At this point we are already seeing that Hinata isn't going to just die off a "villain" and is heading towards becoming Rimuru's friend. These small parts of humanizing her really allow the audience to slowly change their impression of her. I read pretty far ahead in the LN so I can't tell if anime only fans picked that up.
