ABOUT UNCHARTED:
Street-smart Nathan Drake (Tom Holland) is recruited by seasoned treasure hunter Victor “Sully” Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg) to recover a fortune amassed by Ferdinand Magellan and lost 500 years ago by the House of Moncada. What starts as a heist job for the duo becomes a globe-trotting, white-knuckle race to reach the prize before the ruthless Santiago Moncada (Antonio Banderas), who believes he and his family are the rightful heirs. There is Nate's theme we love played in the movie and it's during nostalgic moments in the movie. It is also played in the credits. Yeah this theme made it feel like a different franchise but when Nate's theme played, it really hit. Guess the movie to have it's own score.

@@drewsmith3566or because they were stupid compare it to casino Royale we never hear the James Bond theme till the end. But there is a theme tune for James that has hints of the classic bond theme. That’s builds into the idea of him not quite being Bond as we know him yet. They could have done that with the uncharted theme then full on used it at the final battle and credits but they didn’t. This movie as a film was a 6/10 maybe a 7/10 but as an uncharted story it’s a 5/10 only barely gets half of the theming as a whole right.

The original theme IS heard and used in the movie for when Drake picks up the guy’s holster on the ship which was super amazing overall as a whole to see as he puts pieces of himself to completely form himself as Nathan Drake entirely and the music from the games helped out with that ALOT with the sequences being made to build up hype for Nate in this movie!

People have to understand this isn't the Drake we know and love. He isn't that man yet. In the first game Drake is like 32 and in this film he is around 23- 24. He has a lot of growing up to do. This is his very first adventure. I'm a die hard Uncharted fan and tbh I adored the movie. Yes I will say Tom is really small and looks childish compared to our 6'2 broad shouldered almost line backer sized adventurer but in all honesty you get over that after a few minutes. Once the adventure kicks off into high gear you don't even notice his size anymore. It's just Nathan Drake and Sully kicking ass and I loved it. I've seen it twice already and am planning on seeing it again with a promo ticket Sony sent me.

I love the Uncharted movie theme, but when Nate’s theme from the game played, I felt nostalgic. Even though I played the ALL of the games throughout 2020, I’m replaying them again and uploading videos of them on my channel! This is an objectively excellent song by the composer for Game of Thrones, Westworld, Iron Man, and Pacific Rim. This comment section is just one out of a million reasons why we don't deserve nice things. "But Uncharted already has the perfect theme-" Look, if you're not going to do us the laughably simple courtesy of at least pretending to know how movies work, the least you could do is go find someone who cares. Preferably far away from me.

i agree, lol. its not like the game's music is not on the movie, you know? IT IS THERE! and you know what? even tho most people would disagree (or just dont know about this fact) the iconic theme from the games is suposed to be NATE'S theme, not uncharted's as a hole. in the movie, NATE'S theme plays in moments that make complete sense! SPOILERS!!! . . . . . . . . . . . - when they get on the island and we get a fun lil cameo of nate's voice actor - when he gets the gun holster and starts blastin in true nathan drake form, completing his origin story and becoming whats to be known as "nathan drake, the great treasure hunter/explorer/adventurer" - on the credits

Most people aren’t complaining about the composer and the core theme, but it sounds way too light-hearted for a more adventurous theme like the ones in the games, and much more forgettable, I think they could’ve done better

@@timoplays478 i mean, personally i dont mind it because this is a more "light-hearded" adaptation of the games (i mean, try to count how many people die in Drake's Fortune and in this movie.....pretty sure the movie doesnt even get half of the number DF gets) about the "forgettable" point u made, i dont know. i mean, thats kinda subjective, (unless someone here knows about music and can prove me wrong [wich, if you can, plz do, btw]) but, in my opinion, it was a very good memorable track (i have been listening a lot, thats how much i personaly liked it). i guess that just goes from person to person.

Its not that bad and can be catchy at times; but why wouldn't you just use Greg Edmonson's main theme song from the game!!!! Do you know how amazing and exciting it would have been to hear it throughout the film. This theme by Ramin Djawadi could have been a secondary theme within the movie. What a wasted opportunity; the perfect theme song was already written there for you and you go and make a generic one. Greg Edmonson's theme song for Uncharted is like John Williams Indiana Jones and Star Wars themes and James Bonds theme. Just hope they use it as the main theme song in the sequel.

After watching the movie, the only problem I really had was Sully. I feel like Walberg wasn’t quite the right pick, and he was kind of a dick in the movie way more than he was in the games. But beyond that, I think the movie was pretty darn faithful to the games. The positives far outweigh the negatives in my opinion. Great film!

@@billybletsos4758 there is a different version for each game being aptly named Nate’s Theme, Nate’s Theme 2.0, and Nate’s Theme 3.0. In the fourth games there’s A Thief’s End which is a far different version than the other 3 but I have no clue what the movie version is called.

I'm a huge fan of Ramin Djawadi, his score for Iron Man is IMO one of the more underrated MCU scores. Also his work on Pacific Rim and Game of Thrones is phenomenal... I feel this is one of his weaker efforts unfortunately. It's fine though, even John Williams gives a forgettable score every now and then, and we still love him all the same. It happens.
