Rape is an ugly word for an ugly crime and it seems to me that as a society, we don't want to talk about it when in fact, we should. Rammstein may have faced criticism for Weisses Fleisch, but I don't think that bothers them. If they see something affecting society that they want to talk about then they do it. For this and so many other reasons, I love Rammstein. They speak a truth that others do not care to or dare to at times.

I can only agree, and what I say now, is not for "getting attention" or something else. I am a woman, who had to fight twice against some bastards, who tried it. The first time I was 16,5 years and as I came home and told it my mother, she only mentioned, that I should not "make things up". I did not! But no wonder, that this comes from a mother who hates you so much, that she blames you for everything. Even for my birth (I also do not make this up). One of her favourite sentences:"Because of you (that would be me), I had to merry your father (he is a drinker)." Because of the first time, I did not even told, until shortly, that it happened something like that to me by the age of 33 as well. The second time, was even more intense and as I was running he mentioned, that he knows my way to work and will wait with a knife for me. I don't understand, why people aren't allowed to talk about it, for all how shitty and guilty you feel. Now I am 42, and I do not know, if I could do it again, if it would happen again. I guess yes, but It also can happen, because people are rather looking away, because of the "negative vibes" then seeing it and doing something against it. So it will never change! That is, why I am disguised by todays society. I rather stay with my animals now, then with humans. If the guys of Rammstein would know, through what they where helping me already. Through a tons of shitty times. Enjoy your evening. ❤️

Greetings from Germany. First of all, i enjoy your reactions very much and big hugs to both of you ❤. Personally, i have a hard time to pick a favorite song, since it somewhat depends on my mood as well, but Weißes Fleisch is a perfect live song, for sure. It got all...i love the build up, the constant energy and guitar riffs. It´s one of the faster songs and is closer to the good old Heavy Metal, imo. Rammstein should be watched live, anyways...their songs seem to be made for a huge crowd and in fact, Rammstein may is currently one of the best live performance groups in the world. They feed us, with the stuff we want...a bit of aggression, beats which could be a march, always straight forward, a deep voice, entertainment and awesome chorus lines. Their provocative lyrics (mostly dark topics) and some visualizations triggered a lot of people in the past, but all they do, is holding up a mirror, reflecting our society - no judging at all, keeping space for an own interpretation or projection. Some of their topics even are inspired by real events and transformed into awesome songs (Mein Teil, for example).

I feel the same about picking a favorite. I don't know about other fans but not only do my "favorites" change from day to day but I also don't have a single song I don't like. Maybe one won't set right at first listen but eventually I grow to love each and every song. So I can't pick a "least favorite" either. They are incredible.

Just few days ago I was listening to this song and thinking how come you hadn't reacted to it yet. This is one of my favourite live performances of Rammstein (the studio version is a bit different, raw and maybe too repetative because it is from their first album when all their music was like that). And I am so happy you liked it. 🖤 Btw, you are not the only one, Dominika. I am watching true crime a lot too (at least lately). And in case you don't follow Emma Kenny, I really advise you to do it. She has such an unique approach and dives really deep into cases and psychology of people. I can't even say which is my favorite Rammstein song, they've just made a lot of very good music so far. For me one song stands out a bit and that's their song "Zeit" (maybe because I'm 67 years old😂). So I can say only there are three/four songs I don't like musically so much (almost all of the lyrics are incredible good), these are: "Puppe", "Radio" and "Angst". By the way, have you both in your repertoire already reacted to "Adios" (not "Adieu"!)? You're both very likeable❤, pls keep it up. Greetings from Germany.

Rammstein’s keyboardist Christian “Flake”Lorenz.. is known for the unusual dance he would do when Weißes Fleisch was performed live. Also, there are unofficial recorded lives of this song, where it is extended with instrumentals and it lasts almost 9 minutes. It was played like this only at the beginning of 1996.

Weißes Fleisch is about assault and rape. Till Lindemann once said in an interview that he received a letter from a girl who was raped thanking him for making the song. "'She wrote that she could identify with the song, that was also in the index for a short while. I spoke about rape while she couldn’t. She had grown up with the idea that she had to keep that period from her youth a secret, and couldn’t tell anyone. Through my song, she understood she could talk about it. She was so grateful I had written that song. I still don’t understand what people get so excited about.'" Till Lindemann

I think Rammstein got what they wanted with you two. The listener should engage with the content of the texts. It's nice to hear how a band deals with the daily events and involves their audience. Rammstein is not only loud and bizarre but also has a lot of depth in the lyrics. For me they are unique in the world.🤪🤘🙌

I LOVE this song and I hope they will play it at the 2023 Tour ! Fun fact : I only like the MSG version. The Live aus Berlin version and studio version sound bad to me. Can you react to Waidmanns Heil (Live from Madison Square Garden)? It is a heavy song too! 🔥🔥🔥

In response, the band issued this statement: “The members of Rammstein express their condolences and sympathy to all affected by the recent tragic events in Denver. They wish to make it clear that they have no lyrical content or political beliefs that could have possibly influenced such behavior. Additionally, members of Rammstein have children of their own, in whom they continually strive to instill healthy and non-violent values.”

@@uliwehner of course it is so. However (idk, my perception maybe) I've always seen this song as dom-sub theme, not violation, maybe the word "gigolo" made it. Like a protagonist is just a dom for hire or something
