The Joe Strummer comment about the first Ramones album seems to be revisionism on his part. Prior to the appearance of the internet Strummer was on record (as far back as interviews in the 1970s) as saying it was seeing the Sex Pistols performing live that gave him his "road to Damascus" moment, directly attributing them with inspring him to walk out on his R&B band (The 101ers) and take up the offer to join The Clash. And he was consistant with that. It was only in more recent years when he started making appearances in Ramones/New York documentaries etc that Strummer switched that "Damascus" moment to The Ramones. Anyway! Great little guided tour documentary. PS: I've just seen a 360 degree tour of CBGBs photographed prior to the shop taking over and the area you mention being the location of the original stage was actually the toilets and a dressing room (where today "the sewing gets done"). The back wall of the stage would have been roughly where the pinball machine is. And it's kinda sad though that with that wealth of music paraphernalia the shop owners have placed on the walls, they didn't think to focus solely on the famous names who played CBGB.

You look (and sound, sorta) like a dark-haired version of Jordan the Lion. Correction: Road to Ruin was produced by Tommy Ramone. The album, End of the Century, was produced by Phil Spector. And this is an album I'm sure you WON'T like... at least Johnny hated it and he wanted to do a makeover of it but he died too soon.
