A word of caution to anyone considering the Rampage: I bought a set a few months ago and with a 3-fletch AAE Max Hunter configuration and 175 grains at the front they were flying like laser beams. However after a few months of practice I am now experiencing cracks on the both ends of the shaft. Folks are also complaining about this in the comments on Lancaster Archery Supply. And thank you as always for the video content! I met a guy in Scheels a few weeks ago here in north Texas that met you and said you're a hell of a dude!
Been using Black Eagle for years now and I've never had that much deviation in straightness between arrows and I've shot the Rampage, the renegades, Carnivores, Outlaws, Deep impacts just to name a few.. I've highly recommended them out of my personal archery shop... Keep up the great videos....
@Everettsnumber1fan I've used all 3 of those for hunting situations and you couldn't go wrong with either one of those just pick a set and I'm sure you will be happy .just make sure you pick the right spine for your set up...
@@paulshumate2904 thanks Paul, I am wanting to go with the deep impacts, but I was hoping to sneak into a 400 spine but I’m right on the bubble of 350 vs 400. I shoot 58 lbs 28 inch draw out of the new Darton sequel 31. Think the 400 would work to keep weight down? I figure I will cut my arrow to 28 or 27.5.
One of my cousins has used these for years and loves them and can shoot pretty nice groups out to 70 yards with them. He changed up this year to a GT Black Label Quantum because he is curious to see what else flies well out there. I like .204 ID arrows and was thinking about getting 3 or 4 shafts of a few brands like Black Eagle 🦅 Victory, Gold Tip, Easton, Sirius to see which tunes best out of my PRIME Black 3 bow, then buy more of the winner. Thanks for sharing Josh.
Love the content! New to archery over the last couple years Started with a nitrum 30 And I just bought ventrum pro I have some rampages, renegades and Bloodsport evidence Going to do some arrow building for the first time Picked up a Hamskea rest on your site today Keep up the good content!!!!!!!! Thanks

Almost went with these but I decided to go to the X impacts with 80 grain aluminum FOCOS outserts with a 16% FOC. I run same arrow on my V3 31 and my V3X 29. Love BE arrows
I personally shoot these Black Eagle Rampage’s. My arrows are 300 spine, cut to 29”, I use the stock insert with a 125g point, tac driver vanes and it comes out to 543 grains at 15% FOC. I do have to say the stock inserts have bent on me in the past, so if MFJJ has a solution for that I’d like to know!

I have a 28" DL, my .001 Rampage arrows are 27.125", I use the 52 grain outsert that is included, 125 grain field point, 3 AAE Max Stealth vanes. 442 grain total weight and 14.8% foc. Great arrow- I just wish the arrow wrap/logo wasn't such a dull color, lol. None of my dozen arrows wobbled like the worst one you had, you might of got an odd batch. I would of probably called the company and sent those back. I have been shooting mine for a year.. great arrows and very well priced. recommended .
I appreciate your honest, unbiased product review videos but at elk shape Oregon you mentioned wanting to make more educational videos. That's something I'd love to see. Keep keeping it real mfjj! 💪🤘
I wasn't impressed with Rampage when I tried them a few years ago. The nock ends cracked really easily. I don't know if that was because of the shaft or the nocks. Same problem with the Spartans. The Zombie Slayers held up great. They all flew really well. I since switched to Victory and Easton 6.5 and have been much happier with durability.
It’s 100% the nock. Changed to Beiter and the rear gets crushed rather than splits on rear impact. With pin the pin will dent and bend but the shaft will be fine.
Bought a dozen once. Destroyed more than half shooting 3D. Every rampage wobbled out the box and had an extreme wobble after the shoot. Went back to rip tko, durable shafts but the insert systems suck for the small diameter. Decided to start the deer season with black eagle carnivore arrows. Found some slightly heavier inserts. After some tinkering I was satisfied with the standard diameter. For now I’ll stay away from small and micro.

Interesting how everyone always claims their tolerances are so outstanding on the internet all the time. I had similar experiences with them 4 or 5 years ago when I tried them. Also durability was a little lower than other brands I’ve used. Due to that I wasn’t that impressed for the money and haven’t used them since.

You should check the balance point of the bare shaft, no components just carbon. Wondering if the label affects the balance or if there is a difference front to back. Can you swap the nock and point ends
Not all batches ( 12) of the same arrow designation weigh the same. I have two sets of PSE 23's. One dozen is between 7-8 grains heavier than the other. These are shafts only uncut out of the package. To get both sets the same finished will require( within 2-3 grains) cutting one set shorter. Which won't be a upper big deal as I don't shoot well enough to see the difference lol. But it is a little frustrating as this the first time this has happened.
I would like see a video or just some information to see what kinda weight insert your would need to get the percentage amount of foc you recommend on a gold tip velocity or a similar light weight arrow for a 60 pound draw weight and 28 inch draw length.

I shoot the Rampage 300 .001 arrows. 27.75" carbon to carbon. 75 grain easton stainless steel halfout. Three fletch w/ AAE max stealth vanes. Standard R nock from black eagle. 100 grain broadhead. Total weight is 455 grains. FOC is just above 14.5%. They shoot great. For the price, you can't beat them.
I am running the 250's at 30" carbon to carbon 540 gr and 14.5% FOC. They have been flawless. Shot my bull moose last year with them and will be using them again this year.

Another great video. Seems that most of your focus is on bowhunting. Any thoughts of making some videos about target shooting, target bow setups, target arrows, etc?
I recently bought a 12 pack of Carnivores .001” in 350 spine to practice with my 60# mods and like your Rampages almost half of them were wobbling… managed to make them straight as l cut them short (26.25”) but was not impressed… will stick with my Rip Tko’s in the future!

Can I ask you a favor brother I know this is video is over a year old. I'm planning to set up these Rampages with 30 and 1/4 inches long, with Nocturnals, 100 grain thunderhead and 3 fletch 3 deg AAE Max Stealth Vanes. Thinking i will be in that 450 grain weight. Could you tell me if this would be a good hunting set up in you're opinion and do you think I'll be in the range of a good foc. Shooting a 29 inch draw 70 lbs carbon knight bowtech
I am Curious about the fire knock string stop, I hear it cuts out a significant amount of vibration and adds speed to a v3x. It would be cool to see a review be fore I purchased one

Great Videos, I bought some 4mm diameter arrows and got home shot them into a Double Duty square bag target and the inserts catch on the materials when trying to pull them out. Any suggestions on a better target to use that easy to pull those type arrows out
Bags and outserts don't mix well. Hard to beat a rinehart or sevr. I have an 18-1, big sevr and a block range bail and only shoot Vap TKO or Vap SS with ethics outserts. The only bag style that's been workable is the Morrell outdoor range but the outserts will wear out the cover pretty quick.
