I would add that after that second step of putting in the foam pads above the side doors...you take them right out till after you get the top secured in the forward windscreen track, especially if you are doing this as a one man operation in the wind. Those foamy thingies fly away pretty quick. Once the top is draped over them they stay put but until then you are fighting a losing battle.

I had one that lasted about 4 years. I love the design. I was consistently able to put on or remove the windows in about 5 minutes and the window storage is the best I've seen. BUT the quality of materials was lacking. ALL of the straps broke at one point or another and had to be replaced. The two main straps in back had to be adjusted before it could even be used the first time (each was about 6" too long and the velcro didn't come close to matching up). I'm replacing it now because all of the threads in the seams are failing. I'm trying the Trektop NX this time. Supposed to be best quality, but I already know I'll miss the window storage.

I was thinking of one of these but my best top has lasted for over 10 years now, I'll get this winter out of it but Im gonna need a new one in the spring

They have enough of those sold separate's hidden in there. Why sell the kit without the pieces it needs?

This top only lasted me 3 years before it literally fell apart. Straps broke stitching ripped out and the windows cracked in the cold. It can get to -20 in the winter so you may not experience these problems in warmer climates.

Putting that top on seems like a lot of hassle.

I wish this came with the top! I bought my frameless top in The Spring. I put everything on but the rear window. My mileage improved dramatically. I used to burn 1/4 of a tank going from Eastham, Ma to Provincetown, Ma. Now the needle barely moves. My boxy car is now more aerodynamic. However, my rear window zipper snapped right off when we tried to zip it up. There is at least a 4 inch gap. That might have been avoided with this video.

I just put this top on today. It took an hour and a half to remove my hard top and install this one. It was very difficult to put on as everyone has said. I couldn't even use the foam inserts for the door surrounds it was so tight. My rear roll bars don't have padding and it was so damn tight I had to put all my force into it. All in all, this top is just too tight for a "trail" top that is made to be removed in minutes while on the go. I am hoping that once it warms up it will be a little easier. If not, the bikini top will go on until it is time for the hard top again.

i was thinking about getting a bow less top due to the price but i want to take it down like i would a regular soft top how much harder once these stretch are they to take off and put on or are they easier and are they quicker or more time consuming? i am aware of when the fabric is cold so im speaking during the summer when its warm and broken in

Is the rampage and RT offroad soft top basically identical?

I got this top and its hard to put on with out breaking the zippers but once its on the sun and heat make it easy to put on and remove

i have a bestop bikini top on my 1998 jeep wrangler right now if i get this top will i be able to install it with out getting the door surrounds or the windshield channel and tailgate bar because it already has those for the top i have now

so where do i get the header channel sense it dosent come with it

So what do ya do if ya took put your back seat and seat belts ?

Do you need a aftermarket tailgate bar or can you do this with a stock one from a original softtop

Will it work on custom made rollcage

What kind of door skins should I get to match this top? Black diamond? Denim? Sailcloth?

very helpful, I just got done with my 2 hour installation. I do find it amusing that you left out a key step (probably because it was littered with obscenities). I'm referring to putting the top in the channels just above the doors...this was a battle! how long did you leave the top in the sun for this to be easy? Also how long do you recommend keeping it all together before it shapes to the jeep and subsequently becomes easier to re install after I put it into bikini mode? Great video though!

how easy is it to put the top down? is it just a 2 minute process like the stock soft top?

I forgot to mention that my spouse and I have both been drenched often when getting into the car after a rain. If your window is open you are going to get a SOAKING as soon as the car starts moving. They need to fix that one.

This video misses a couple of crucial steps: installing the front bow inserts and tucking in the belt rails on the door surrounds.

Can you demo putting the Windows in the top storage ?

These tops are brutal as hell to put on especially if you have roll bar speakers. It looks nice but I hate it so much.

Can I buy just the foam inserts?

Lacking. Window frame? Bows? Dude?

Purchased one of these off Amazon six months ago. Thirty one days after I signed for it (read non returnable after 30 days) the right window came unsealed at the bottom. Glued it and it held for a bit but now its worse. A month ago the straps holding the top on at the rear failed after trying to tighten them so the top would stop flapping around. Its noisy with the windows down also. Regret spending 4 bills on this garbage. Please pass on this.

The windows come out like a breeze. The top is not really made to come off easily, it's more or less supposed to stay put permanently

I just got mine from 4wheel parts but the soft top its self was disappointing expected more for the price they're asking for

This install video doesn't make any sense. The header does not sit where the connectors hold into the frame.

Great video, but what is the point of the music? Just the voice over is all thats needed.

This seems a bit more complicated then the Softop frameless TJ top.

It's cheaper, a tighter fit. And less shit can break on it.

Take out the windows on this top and it is a bikini top.

its a bitch to take it off once its on. the back and sides are fine but the top. oh man its bad.

nice concept, horrible execution, straps on straps on straps. what if i dont have rear seatbelts where does the strap go, wedging foam inbetween the door and roll cage? dont even include the front bracket for the windshield? whats with the strap in the end just dangling, this whole product sounds like it was designed by someone who had to make it work without thinking anything through.

These tops are a POS! First install out of the box the seam ripped and the zipper broke. I called customer support, they told me to take it to an upholstery place to have it repaired.

The song in this video SUCKED so bad! I'm not buying this top, as it will remind me of that song!

These tops are absolute trash, don't waste your money. The first top I got split across the main seam above the driver's seat within a couple months, the second top's (replaced under warranty) zippers broke during installation and the top would not center on the vehicle. Rampage shouldn't be selling garbage like this.

Terrible top. Piece of junk. My years of frustration and screaming because of ripped straps, broken zippers and loose stitching were not worth it.
