I love how Rampage said having a daughter would make Chris "super soft" and he tried to turn it around like, "but you have a daughter?" And he just sighs "yeah, you're gonna get soft"
That explains so much one time I was 16 year old and I saw rampage walking toward a convention and as he was walking I was in the way I said hey rampage one of his guy said he busy but rampage Gave me a fist bump class act.
This was a great interview. Rampage is 100% truthful and raw and Chris makes them feel so comfortable. I hope to see more MMA fighters and personalities on here.
Rampage is a real legend of MMA! He fought in the most exciting era of MMA the pride era, and had some incredible performances, then he came to UFC and won the title. Go back and watch rampage Vs randelman from 2003 the take down defence from rampage was absolutely insane he was SO strong, the arona slam, the beating he gave Chuck, and his fights with wanderlei were all incredible. What a career and he sounds lucid and speaks perfect best of luck and health ☘️
not a foodie? Rampage was caught hiding chocolate bars in his pillows during a training camp before according to mike dolce LOL. Rampage is awesome though he always responded to me when I use to comment on his social media stuff and during his twitch streams, hes a super cool guy
I miss UFC when rampage was there and when it was first starting I knew every fighter every weight classand I could pretty much follow every fight with the fights being on Spike the only ones I didn't get to see where the pay-per-view title fightsbut you can pretty much keep tabs on who is who now you got the free fights on ESPN you got you got like two big UFC events every month fights every weekI used to know every fighter and every weight class now there's so many fighters and I don't know every fighter in one weight class let alone every weight class the UFC has been growing every year it's so hard to keep track of who's who nowI still love the UFC but I hate watching fights when you don't know who the fighters are because now if you're ranked in the top-15 you don't usually get on a free fight fight night
I just came across this interview and damn is it good. Shit I was wanting to hear another 2 hours of this conversation, I liked hearing about his kids and how he was solo raising em. Stuff like that makes ya think too, all while he was fighting the best in the world too. What a awesome dude foreal.
Rampage on A-Team was an amazing actor. He said the UFC blackballed him from Hollywood after a certain agency signed him and shelfed him. Makes sense because he showed how good he actually is in that movie.
He would of been a massive star in his prime in this era. People who don’t know him think Derrick Lewis is funny, Rampage is the OG comedian of MMA & had better fights than Lewis. He definitely doesn’t get the recognition he deserves.
as someone else who grew up in the "memphis mania" days, the old tapes and stories don't do it justice. this little rinky-dink 3 state territory was packing the mid south collossium EVERY MONDAY NIGHT for decades. they'd come to my town every friday night, that's where i saw the classic battle of Dutch Mantell and the Master of Pain vs stunning steve austin and (i want to say) frankie lancaster. when Dutch says "they wallowed around the ring for awhile..." he's not joking, that was the WORST match i've ever seen. hard to believe Austin and Master of Pain would become stone cold and undertaker.
This was a fun convo. Rampage is great & interview was awesome. I like that it's an open conversation and not a series of question. It's great when people don't guard their answers. CVV is skilled at connecting with people
I just found this channel. Thanks for this. I identified with his story about The Undertaker because the same thing happened to me with Kimbo Slice (RIP) I asked for a pic he declined and I wished him well, moved on and held my L lol
HEY CHRIS IF U EVER DOING AN INTERVIEW WITH Y2J OR CHRISTIAN. ASK THEM ABOUT THE TIME THEY HAD TO COME DOWN THE RAMP WITH THIER TOWELS AND HAD TO LEAVE NAKED. SEEMS LIKE AN INTERESTING STORY TO HEAR ABOUT. HAVE THEM COME ON YOUR SHOW AND DO AN INTERVIEW ABOUT WWF BACK THEN. IN THAT PROMO SCENERIO
@@timslee0618 he probably needed to bulk up, there’s a huge weight difference between light heavy and heavyweight he probably has to put on like 20 kilos… and then fight Fedor. Not an easy task, but respect for trying
@@Norkoli MMA is not the sport to bulk up because Cardio is very important. The best HW's usually were always around the 220lbs to 240lbs range. Rampage did not bulk up. He came in out of shape. Rampage did not even try. Randy Couture when he fought at HW was around the 220 lbs range.
Rampage checked one of Fedors leg kicks so hard I'm pretty sure Fedor at least fractured his leg. He stumbles back and goes "ahhhh" and does a little dance for a second like he was in high heels on a slippery runway.Fedor being the man fought through it though he's a real one. One of the best checks I've ever seen and people say Rampage doesn't check kicks, but the obviously aren't real fans. Shout out to Rampage for liking this comment.
Every now and then, a father has to put a son on his place by beating his ass in a fight. The father HAS to win, though. If not, the dynamic will shift. I've never challenged my Dad, but my older brother did when he was 19, and the ass whooping my brother got was so bad that it made me never even think about doing the same thing.
Wish Rampage's acting career could've gone places, if only for his health. From what I know he was pretty well received for his role in the A-Team, so it's unusual how the man just didn't get any other roles considering his charisma and built-in fanbase. I mean you're telling me Hollywood couldn't have at least made a few mid-budget action films starring Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson, the same industry that did its hardest to turn Adrian Brody into an action star? Or at least some supporting roles. According to Rampage himself, he thinks he was sabotaged by his agency...which was the same company that ended up buying the UFC.
Rampage the only 1 I seen who called that Jake Paul and Woodley 2nd fight exactly how it was planned. The whole thing was a scam to make it seem legit so they could continue to make more fights for Jake paul. A team behind him pumping money into him and steroids.
Quinton is my Hulk Hogan. I remember watching A-Team reruns right before tuning into UFC, which was some fantistic filler in between raw & smackdown. The A-Team movie came out in High School & me n my lil brother still quote it all the time. Chris has been growing on me since the first bubba interview. I'm almost tempted to sub 😅
