What's going on Bust! Nation! We're back again with Episode 3 of season 6! Firstly, wanna apologize for the late post, just had some personal stuff going on and needed to take a couple days to sort through it. Secondly, this episode was wild. It starts with Jon waking up, scared and confused and unsure why he's back to begin with. Next, we see Sam and Gilly on their way to meets Sams family. After that Bran goes back in time to learn the truth about Ned. Khaleesi is with the other Khaleesis being told by a bunch of non-queens how she is not a queen. Verys does some spider stuff meanwhile Tyrion, Missendei, and Greyworm break the ice with some games. Maester Frankenstein is tryna take over Verys's shtick. The small council decides to exclude Cersei and Jamie from their meeting, while Tommen leaves himself open for manipulation against Barefoot Bernie. Arya becomes daredevil and then gets her eyes back. And then the worst thing that could possibly ever happen, happens. Ramsey captures Rickon and Osha :( . Gets me so worried yall have no idea. Jon beheads Alliser and Co. and then decides to dip out, leaving Edd in charge. Overall a pretty fire episode. Maybe not wholly as good as the first two, but alot of big big big plot things happen. Super excited to bring you guys the next one. Until then. Pce:)

The last time we saw Rickon is when Bran instructed Osha to take him to the Last Hearth, the castle of their bannermen the Umbers. They guy who brought Rickon & Osha to Ramsey is Smalljon Umber. So ... Osha actually did do her "one job". The Umbers turned on the Starks & basically turned them into prisoners.

Ned was up front with Bran - Bran just made assumptions as to what happened. Ned says that Arthur is the finest knight he ever faced and that Dayne would have killed him were it not for Howland Reed (the guy who stabs him). In all honesty, he didn't lie about anything. Other people might make their own assumptions, but Ned is not going around boasting that he killed Arthur free and clear without help.

Technically Ned did not lie. He had a fight with The Sword of the Morning, and he killed him. True. He will not have elaborated, nor would he have bragged - it was not his way. Others will have glorified it. His good friend and bannerman Reed (Mira & Jojens Dad) saw he would lose and stabbed his attacker in the back. It was a dishonorable move by Reed, but it saved Ned's life. Ned just did not tell anyone about that part to save Reeds honorable name. Did not enjoy your rant against Ned & Catlyn, lol. Ned was still honorable and Catlyn was too. She was required to marry Ned and did her duty - she was not lying. She did love Brandin, but he was dead and her father still required her to marry a Stark for the alliance. She & Ned grew to love one another. Good riddance to the ones who murdered Jon. FU Olly lol.
@Steve-eh4db
@Steve-eh4db Год назад
I disagree somewhat. To leave it at himself killing Ser Arthur Dayne without elaborating on how he was able to cheat death, is not very honorable. Taking credit for taking out the best swordsman ever & letting gossip swirl that he indeed took him out, as if he was the one that unseated Dayne as the best swordsman. The more honorable way to let out everything is by telling the truth, that Howland Reed saved his life at the last possible moment. People in the commentary are saying this as if this was part of the show, it wasn't, it was in the books. A small something that George forgot to add into the first 50 slow paced episodes.

@sarahjamieson5552
@sarahjamieson5552 Год назад
Yep. She everything she saw in the flames is true. She just got over-confident in her prowess as a priestess. She has seen Stannis in various visions and great battles...but she's only really seeing snippets such as him north of the wall, then in the middle of battle in the snow against Boltons. But she's not seeing the full battle. She sees another vision in which Bolton banners in Winterfell are burning...so she puts 2 and 2 together and assumes that the Stannis' battle in the snow leads to Bolton defeat and the banners burning. She doesn't even consider that Stannis may actually be on his way to defeat in the battle she saw a snippet of and that the burning Bolton banners may be caused by some other conflict. She did also see a snippet of Jon fighting in a similar battle but she then sees him dead and thinks the vision is wrong...before she discovers he can be brought back to life. I think from she first encountered Jon she knew he was important because she had seen him feature significantly in visions but was already so singlemindedly devoted to her notion about Stannis being the "prince that was promised" she couldn't even consider there could be other possible candidates for the role. Now she sees that she has been granted the ressurection of Jon and that while her belief that Stannis was the PtwP was wrong it doesn't mean the prophesy is wrong...and maybe Jon is that person...meanwhile I point you to the flashback scene of Ned going to try rescue his sister and Bran suddenly being stopped from seeing the reality of what happened...what Ned would discover. Start putting things together guys 🤪

I'm sure just like any sort of religious visions, its all down to interpretation by whoever is seeing these visions. Mel was just so convinced in what she saw that she was super confident. After Stanis lost though, her faith was definitely shaken. She was questioning her own ability. Notice in earlier episodes when she was at Castle Black she wasn't wearing heavy furs, and she even told Jon that "the lord of light's fires burn within me" and that she could stay warm? Well, after that before she did any sort of magic to a dead Jon, she was huddled in a room with a big fur blanket in front of a fire, she was obviously cold, so losing her faith in her ability even affected her real ability.

We as viewers had a lot more insight into Jon's reasoning and the Wildlings' way of life. Olly and Sir Allisar didn't

The thing I love the most about this episode, aside from how, once again, the boys are wrong about virtually everything, is how they can't seem to figure out how to keep that piece of cloth hanging up in the window. I just cracked up.

If anything, the Wildlings are inspired by the Native Americans: kicked off their land, stuck on a reservation, raiding settlers that took over their former land.

29:40 A couple seasons ago there was a scene where Tywin asks Tommen what makes a good king, and Tommen's first guess is "piety". So it would seem he's just the kind of guy to eagerly buy into this kind of manipulation coming from a figure of religious authority.

Actually Melisandre only assumed Stannis was the prince who was promised due to the Baratheons being on the throne. Her visions never showed her who the prince was which is why alot of her assumptions didnt pan out.

“Night gathers, and now my watch begins. It shall not end until my death. I shall take no wife, hold no lands, father no children. I shall wear no crowns and win no glory. I shall live and die at my post. I am the sword in the darkness. I am the watcher on the walls. I am the fire that burns against the cold, the light that brings the dawn, the horn that wakes the sleepers, the shield that guards the realms of men. I pledge my life and honor to the Night’s Watch, for this night and all the nights to come.” Technically Jon isn't an oathbreaker, just sayin' ;)

Hi guys, great to see you back for another episode!! I know everyone keeps telling you Season 6 is the best of the show (it does rock, don’t get me wrong) & things go downhill, blah blah blah… I just want to encourage you to keep an open mind for seasons 7 & 8. Don’t let other people’s negative reviews spoil your viewing experience - be free to form your own opinion, that’s why I enjoy watching! You guys see things from a perspective different from mine and it makes the show feel fresh & new again. I see a lot in previous comments on if Ned lied about what happened at the Tower of Joy or if Bran misinterpreted what he said. Honestly, until we get to the flashback, it’s not mentioned that much in the show. Only once that I can remember really (only in the show - not adding anything from the books) It is when Bran first meets up with Jojen & Meera Reed in S3E2 (Dark Wings, Dark Words) Bran & Jojen are talking about green seeing & worging; Bran: “When my father died, I dreamt it” Jojen: “You didn’t dream it, you saw it. So did I” Bran: “You have the sight to?” Jojen: “When I told my father about your father, for the first time in my life I saw him cry.” Bran: “Your father is Howland Reed?” Jojen: “Yeah” Bran: “He saved my father’s life during the rebellion.” Jojen: “Your father told you about the rebellion? Mine never did. But I saw that, too.” Bran: “What else have you seen?” Jojen: “Only one thing that matters…you.” That was it. We can only infer how much Ned told Bran & how much detail he went into. But remember Bran was a boy who loved stories even before he was crippled so I’m sure he would have nagged his dad for war stories at some point. Plus Bran & Jojen would have spent a lot of time on the road together & Jojen said he saw the rebellion, so maybe he gave Bran some insight into what happened as well.

Your discussion about ned is completely wrong, but i like how deep you went. Ned never said he defeated Arthur dayne cleanly people just assumed that. He never bragged about it. And there was some weird stuff about "he never would have taken winterfell" ... the starks have had winterfell since it was built. Native american....... more like mongolian horselords, native americans didnt even have horses until europeans came lol.
@cinesoda2082

Ned probably didn’t clarify the micro details of his fight with Arthur Dwayne to protect Howland Reed as much as anyone. Howland would have been reviled if it came out he killed a legend in a cowardly way. Howland and Ned were good friends. It’s actually a very Ned thing to do - protecting the folks he loves.
