Lion's Palace popularly known as Singha Durbar lies in the center of Kathmandu. It was built by the then Prime Minister Chandra Samsher in June 1908. It was known as one of Asia's most exquisite and lavish palaces until the 1950s. Today it is the central office of the Nepal Government..

Sarthak ji Dhanyabad. If in that case, they say all small kingdoms’ (those achieved by king Prithibi Narayan shaha and his immediate son) important live documents were intentionally burned while Shingha darbar was on fire! Rest assure, what would you compose regarding KIRAT and their land was captured and tortured/massacred by then King’s Soldiers and how/where those rich history are now! We’d have thought those all histories are the most important assets for the people and country aren’t they. Hope to see you with these findings in next episode. Good luck and thank you.

Thanks for a very detailed information. But I would like to point out a minor correction. The front portion of the Singha Durbar was saved not by the use of cannons but by the demolition done by Shri Kali Prasad Gana, the Combat Engineers (Sappers). The cannon shells only punctured a hole through the walls but could not bring down the wall completely. The Sappers used explosives to bring down the wall and thus save the magnificent front portion of the Singha Durbar.

Now I hope people know about Rana and the gangsters around them on how they ruled in Nepal. " Lion's Palace " popularly known as Singha Durbar lies in the center of Kathmandu was built by the then Prime Minister Chandra Samsher (1908 ). It was known as one of the most exquisite and lavish palaces particularly in Asia until the 1950s. Today it is the central government office of the Nepal.. The historians should also dig out on issues like how these Ranas and gangsters around them looted from local innocent people including valuable heritage sites. There are many elderly senior citizens available in Nepal who have all the necessary detail information of the past. The team of people who created contents of this video have not captured true facts which have been suppressed so far. Why not bring out the true evidences of KIRATs, how their land was captured and tortured/massacred by rulers. Where are those rich historical details? Those valuable histories are the most important assets for the people. The researchers from History Department of the University need to focus on bringing out real facts rather than highlighting on cooked up biased and fake narratives of the past.
