Hanabie ist eine richtige Band, die von Yukina, Matsuri und Hettsu in der Mittelschule gegründet wurde und anfangs eine Maximum The Hormone Coverband war. Hanabie. schreiben ihre Musik und Texte alle selber und spielen auch selbst die Instrumente. Babymetal dagegen ist eine von einem Manager gegründete Idolgruppe, die ihre Musik und Texte (nur sehr wenige Ausnahmen) nicht selber schreiben und auch die Instrumente nicht selber spielen.
