YES!! I honestly don't follow influencers because of this. You are one of the very few. But I never felt like you were an influencer because you are honest. It feels like a good friend just sharing honest thoughts about a product. So thank you for being honest❤

First, I'm glad I don't partake in all the online "stuff." I personally don't have the time. Second, I agree with you about the sell deception. I work in the legal profession, specifically in courtrooms, and I always hear the hard sell and exaggerations to prove a point or win an argument. I'm sure this has put me at an advantage. That being said, just know we can't change peoples' motivations and money is a big one. The items that I have bought through your recommendation/visuals have turned out to be spot on. So thank you for that and for keeping it real. We just have to use discernment. Some things are just so obvious and we're not alone in recognizing the toxic influencer culture. God bless.

you said it pretty well. money is a big motivator and I wish it wasn't that way. at the end of the day, like you mentioned, we need to have personal discernment. I'm so glad to hear you have loved what I have recommended. I know things can be personal and don't always work for everyone. But love when they do.

I agree with you Tash! That said, I have been in Sales for 40 years, there has always been & always will be those kinds of Sales Tactics from some Sales People. Today we call them Marketing influencers/ Content Creators. . (Just a new Medium to sell product) Carry on Tash , you do you, its why WE follow you. At the end of the day they end up outing themselves. Purchasers are often smarter than you give them credit for and see their type of Sales Tactics. They end up loosing the customer forever. So they are in an endless cycle of building their base. 😉☺

Yeah, you’re right. It is just another medium. But I was thinking about this. We know a salesperson is a salesperson bc they work for, let’s say, a car dealership. With influencers and content creators, they’re “self employed” and “contracted out” by brands. And the only way to know that is when they properly disclose.

Yeah I was watching a certain husband/wife influencing duo whom I enjoy, and this is exactly where they went with this, “got sick while we were away forgot to take our seed.” It left me with an icky feeling like us subscribers are just their money makers. I now just fast forward over there ad portions of their vlogs.

Yup, basically that. Just be honest. A product can be a good product without having to make these exaggerated claims, which can be misleading sometimes and even harmful

Totally agree. I think we are all wising up to the game. I think they trick you by saying “look what I found - this great new product…..” as if they have tried all of them and “this one is the best”… be honest - someone has asked them to recommend their product. I like Bethany Frankel - she has some paid ads, but will say when something is not good which is refreshing.. I listen to your advice and recommendations and have not been disappointed.. that is where the trust lies. A lot of your recommendations are very affordable too.

Hi Tash, I agree with you, 100%! I really appreciate that you mentioned the trust factor and what all it takes to build that trust. I do believe being a content creator is a job and you nailed it with getting to the trust point. Maybe certain audiences aren't concerned with that yet? Idk. But I know I am way more likely to purchase something that I believe is being delivered to me honestly. I also agree with your approach of "Hey guys, I've been thinking of going to a cleaner brand of cleaning products..." It doesn't just come out of the blue and it's like a discover together. Anyway, I'm rambling, and I agree with you! Somehow, I managed to get unsubscribed, but I'm back! I hope you are doing well!

Yeah, I think a lot of people truly just don’t care, even if they know. But influencers also have an obligation as per FTC to let the viewer know in a clear and concise way that’s it’s paid, if it is. I don’t get why some choose to hide it 🤷‍♀️ And thanks. I am well 💕 hope you are too

@@TashVitorsky I remember when that FTC law first came out-I was blogging. That rule has been around long enough for content creators to know it and have NO excuse to conceal, hide, disregard, etc. I agree with you wholeheartedly. And when an influencer gets sneaky, it’s time to go. 🧐🤥🤣

Same. I don’t mind transparent paid content at all. It’s when they tried to hide it that I’m like, why? It’s paid, just say it and move on. I feel like that’s more honorable idk 🤷‍♀️

😂😂😂 Jake from State farm🤣 Funny story ....we live in the country and have lots of wild turkeys come in our yard. My husband and I always yell at the Jakes (young male turkeys), "Hey, Jake from State farm, what are you wearing Jake from State farm" 😂 My kids are always so confused, which makes even funnier to us. One of these days I will bring up the commercial for them but for now it's fun to have that inside joke😂

Best part is that it doesn't even scare them away, they just look up and stare at us. And I think it's gotten them used to us, they even come up and eat with our chickens and ducks. So fun!

A-men!! Once trust is broken, usually by obscuring that their review/opinion is sponsored, it’s hard to get back. Sponsored content and affiliate programs are perfectly fine, but leaving out the fact they were LURED into it by $$$ is so infuriating!!! It makes me lose interest in the content creator. It’s not hard to type hashtag åd. I’ve loved your approach with the reviews you’ve done.😃

I totally agree with 💯 percent on what you said I can't stand when they make such a huge story about what they trying to sell it's sick . You keep doing what you are doing you a very honest and great person love that and your realistic personality too . I start my new job Monday first day training in housekeeping in nursing home. Yes, I think since I’m “in it” I notice it and know a bit. I don’t claim to know everything but I do know paid ads need to be clear and concise and not misleading and I’ve seen all of the above numerous times.
