Your content is so soothing. Thanks for sharing your story. I can totally relate to your Instagram experience. I still use it for my business, but barely ever post anything personal anymore but I definitely sometimes feel like I'm missing out by not sharing but then I remind myself that that isn't what I want for my family.

Awe thanks so much 💕 I know what you mean. Def not missing out. If anything we miss out on real life by focusing too much on life on social media. At least that’s how I felt. Gotta find a healthy balance and take out what’s not adding to your life. 💕

Ah the Soviet Union. My mom was bullied in Ukraine by teachers and students for being a Christian and for being from a large family (9 kids) I experienced some of SU life but not too much, bc we migrated in ‘97 when I was 10, so I got to experience some of the good in my country after it became independent. My grandma took me to many Church conferences for Pentecostals back then. We were poor in Ukraine, and I’m so grateful to God that we got out and got the opportunity to come to the states.

Thank you so much for sharing this story! My great grandmother had a very interesting life. Her father was a Cherokee chief who came to Oklahoma via the Trail of Tears. There were some amazing stories and my uncles were able to video her telling all her stories before she passed away years and years ago. ❤ I completely relate to everything you said about social media. I’ve had to stop looking at IG and TikTok because they are both such a time suck. I’ve had to stop watching some of my favorite channels temporarily because of that feeling of comparison wishing I have all the luxury stuff and travel of others. Sometimes I’m able to return to watching some of their videos but I’m filtering out the ones that produce FOMO. 😢 I love that you keep your channel very relatable!! ❤❤

Wow that’s amazing they got that on video. And that you get to hear those stories being passed down as well. So interesting. And you are not alone on the social media stuff. Soooo easy to get caught up and let the thoughts roll in our minds to no benefit at all. There was a video I saw on TikTok that spoke well on this topic. And how she ended up in the rabbit hole of scrolling and then comparison. Wishing maybe she had this or that or looked like this or that. And then she went on to say, no one will ever be you in history and time. Just one you. For all of time. It’s always nice to hear other ppl speak on it bc you feel less alone. 💕

I just went on IG after being off of it for months and it was so weird. Everyone’s trying to sell you something or look like a magazine spread of some sort. Your content points out the joy in the little details like a good cup of coffee or meal! Or an awesome pair of lashes 🙂 I loved hearing about how your family got here!and your Dad graduating from college in his 50’s!

I definitely miss the simpler, more authentic, less frivolous European life, values and culture. Moving to North America may open new horizons but it's good to stay grounded, remember where we come from and cherish the little things, as you say, because at the end of the day, they are what matters. ♥
@TashVitorsky

Staying grounded is so important. Otherwise you can get so caught up in stuff that won’t rly matter at the end of life. 💕 totally agree

I love your chatty vlogs. I feel the same about social media. I only use YT now to watch those with substance and they are few. I love watching your vlog and hearing stories like this. I’m Slavic on my mom’s side, Croatia. On my dad’s side we are Baltic from Lithuania so it’s a real mish mash there😂. I’ve heard like you many stories but my dad’s side were actually in labor camps in Germany at Ansbach. So sad. It’s been hot here too! Today is a scorcher so my grocery trip may have to wait until tonight or early tomorrow morning. Our 4th was quiet and I did some 4th staples and goodies at home. Social media makes life seem like one huge vacation for the haves smh. It would depress anyone I think so I don’t watch. Finally, lol chatty me too, giving away my Keurig to bless someone. I have a new/refurnished Casabrew I ordered off eBay. It’s not the real expensive ones but because it was a refurb I got it with tax for almost $40. I pray it won’t disappoint as it has a 4.3 rating at Amazon. I just want some rich tasting coffee or at least a step up from Keurig - I had bought the limited edition yet they still make it but for me it’s really been a disappointment. Pray my casabrew is great! I love me a good cup of coffee. It’s the Sincreative CM1699 Casabrews Espresso Machine with Milk Frother Wand. Again agree with you about social media and appreciating the simple things in life, which is short. Thank God always for everything! ❤🙏🙌
@TashVitorsky
@TashVitorsky 22 дня назад
Oh wow. Thanks for sharing your story as well. Very sad about the labor camps 😞 I’m sorry. I think it’s so important to pass down stories like that. Did you grow up here? And yay for the new espresso! I’m not too familiar with that machine but looked it up and looks like it has a pressurized basket? Do you plan to grind fresh beans or buy already ground? Pressurized baskets are great for already ground since they create artificial pressure. I’m excited for you and hope you love it. That’s a rly good deal! And yes to the whole social media thing. It’s hard to escape it completely since it’s become such a part of society and life in general. But I do think there are ways to use it that isn’t taking away from life and the joys of life. 💕
@ElizabethNoelleK
@ElizabethNoelleK 21 день назад
Thanks Tash ❤ and yes it has a pressure basket but I’ll grind my own beans too just to try out. I’d appreciate any suggestions you have! I am 2nd Gen on my mom’s side and 1st Gen on my Dad’s side. My mom did not speak Croatian well but my Auntie did and also spoke six other languages! My dad spoke four or five and both my grandmas spoke Polish so they could communicate bc my dad’s mom never learned English well. Sadly my parents never taught us either language they were all Americans and believed English was the way. Made me sort of sad. I do know another language however due to my first marriage (I was abused) and even tho I am fluent in Arabic I do not speak it or care to use it. No offense to anyone it’s just my ex was terrible and violent so I let that all go. Thank God I have a great husband now born here and Puerto Rican. 🙏🙏🙏🙏

@@ElizabethNoelleK that's so interesting. I have heard from others as well that English was pushed mainly to try and assimilate. I am very sorry to hear you had to go through that re: your first marriage. :/ that is a very difficult situation to be in and get out of. I am glad to hear you are now in a much better place. Everyone has such a unique life story. Thanks for sharing part of yours.

🥂 to virtual hangouts so I have two types of lashes on. at the base it’s the brown amazon lashes: amzn.to/4csgzxy they’re pricier for being amazon lashes but very soft and nice warm brown but I wanted more depth so I stacked some black lashes from dark swan on top

I did the same, deleted insta, snapchat and facebook. Only made me happier. :) The only downside was missing out on events and perhaps also losing contact with everyone, but your closest friends, social media really is it's own "world" and deleting some of the major apps, is a bit like breaking up with someone... and starting a new life aka going back to reality. Way healthier for the human mind imo .. yeah, i'm on youtube still, i know :D

Love how you said it. It’s interesting to think we will miss out on this virtual reality, when it’s quite the opposite-we miss out more on real life. Such an interesting phenomenon. Social media is such a big part of life in this day and age so it’s hard to avoid, possible but hard. But I do think it can be good if used for good and in balance. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

@@TashVitorsky Absolutely agree. Well put. Also this technology is incredibly new, so I do believe it may just be a trial and error period, and that the balance is a matter of society having more experience and learning how to live with it and not through it. Just you and I, and many others, having this conversation is a sign of wanting change for the better on a global scale. ❤️

Coming back hours later to finish the video haha so comment #2. I really relate to your views on social media. I deleted TikTok, IG and even the RU-vid app off my phone. I even had to delete the gmail app (that one sounds odd but maybe from my corporate life to doing YT and brand deals I found I was obsessively checking it too). All of them had such a negative impact on me. What kind of surprised me is that after deleting them (apps I’d spend hours on each day) I didn’t feel like anything was missing from my life. And I think that shows how little they were actually adding and how mindless they really are. Sounds like you have similar feelings too.

I can so relate to what you said. For a period of time I had to remove one of my emails from my mail app bc I would be checking it first thing when I wake up. Usually when people work outside the home, they try not to bring the work home. But with social media or even having your own business, the lines can get so easily blurred. That’s why I think it’s so important to set healthy boundaries. For me it was deleting IG. Thanks for sharing what helped you 💕 I do miss certain aspects of IG like being able to see your stories and ability to chat. But thanks for reaching out here 💕
