Loved your words and I have seen the actions of those words you have given to yourself and others while on the trail. Thanks for sharing!

Couldn't have said it better than all these wonderful ppl ❤ Working seasonally with the hikers, sometimes ppl pushed way out of safe ranges with eating, hydration, injuries to punish themselves for whtvr hurt they were going thru, all you could do is love them up for those moments so they realized their journey can also have laughter, stories, bonding, healing. Whether a blue blaze, taking a zero for health, well being with good company, pounding the miles out with, or without that good company, or enjoying the quietest surrounding; you have milked all the facets of the trail, like Greg from "Meet the Fockers" just milking every drop 😅! Godspeed Wing It! 🪽

Hey Wing It! Congratulations on the completion of your incredible journey! Your determination to reclaim your sobriety and then take on the monumental challenge of hiking the entire Appalachian Trail is nothing short of inspiring. With no prior hiking experience and a plan to just "wing it," you have shown immense courage and resilience. Your journey, captured through your videos, has not only documented your personal triumphs but also provided support and inspiration to countless others. I was personally inspired by your ability to help fellow hikers along the way and build a large, supportive community on RU-vid. Definitely a testament to your character and generosity. You have shown us that hiking the Appalachian Trail is no small feat-it's a winding path filled with both breathtaking vistas and challenging climbs. Much like life, it's not just about reaching the summit, but about the steps you take and the people you meet along the way. Your story reminds us that even when the trail gets tough, the view from the top is worth every step. And, as the saying goes, "Perseverance is not a long race; it is many short races one after the other." Your journey exemplifies this perfectly. You've tackled each day with grit and grace proving that with determination and a positive spirit, anything is possible. (ok, so that grace part might be a stretch when considering all of your tumbles 😝 but your humor on the rebounds definitely counts as grace under pressure!) And let's not forget the fun side of your adventure-choosing "Wing It" as your trail name showed your ability to embrace the unknown with a sense of humor and spontaneity too. It's clear that your journey has been as much about the laughs and camaraderie as it has been about the miles. I especially loved watching you find joy and contentment among the wildflowers. Watching you take time to notice the little things along the way was frequently a reminder to me that I need to do more of the same. There were times when seeing those flowers, especially the yellow ones, actually made my day. Congratulations once again on your remarkable achievement! Here's to many more adventures and continued success!

@@Jessicabtx this meant so much to me. Thank you. I still have some miles to go, and the title of the video was apparently misleading a bit. It was my attempt to clarify why finishing isn’t more important to me than not finishing. I am in Maine and trekking north, only a few short weeks remain. I so appreciate this message. Made me smile.

I understood the message you spoke about in the prior video. It’s been obvious, that you value what you are doing. I do believe that your words are inspirational…. because I’ve been inspired as have many others. I imagine that most of the hikers who took that first step….have no idea of the specific “why”. What they gain after that first step will or should become clear… don’t you think? Anyway.. you’ve done a great hike … be safe!✌️🙂💚

@@tresannrn8454 sometimes it is difficult to communicate in words exactly what we mean to say. My intent doesn’t matter as much as how it is perceived. Hence feeling the need to clarify a bit. I do feel like clarity comes at odd times, and usually in hindsight. I have a saying that I never fully realize anything, I get realization when I get it; not when I want it. I assume it is the same for most everyone. I don’t know what I don’t know and I will know when I am supposed to know. The pieces of the puzzle come together and help me to trust the path I am on, but they are only pieces and I hope I never finish this puzzle. As always, thank you so much for all that you are and for being with me on this journey. Your presence strengthens my resolve.
