When I was a DJ in supper clubs in San Francisco, I'd play this as dinner was served and got so many tips! It's a gorgeous song. I love Randy Crawford's voice so much. I sometimes wake myself up singing this song (not nearly as perfect as Ms. Crawford does, of course).
I would like to share that there was a time in my life where I was completely broken. I didn't know where to turn. I tried crying out to family members and friends, that did not work. I finally cried out to Jesus, and he heard my cry. When the bible says God is near to the brokenhearted it is very true. I cried out to God in tears, and He eventually turned my sorrow to joy. I thank God for the gift of salvation that He gave me. Now I have a wife and 2 kids that God has blessed me with. Please stick in there and give God a chance to transform your life. Cry out to God no matter how broken you are.
Boy this takes me back, I had a sharp 1977 Burgandy Oldsmobile 98 Regency with crush velvet seats and I use to be rolling hard on the expressway with my 4 year daughter in the backseat singing her little heart out. #Memories
Growing up was my jam and understood better as I got older....When that...Cajun Moon took my man way too soon Cajun Moon. Stay with me since 8 years now 32 and rest with me
No surprise that the extremely talented Randy Crawford out does the original with some fine vocals; Randy truly makes the song hers and with the legendary Bootsy Collins and Bernie Worrell to boot - this voyage is musically sound too. Thanks for sharing. God bless you 🙏🏾
Mmmmmm... tasty. I've just listened to an interview with J J Cale and he was asked which was his favourite cover of one of his songs, and he said this one so I thought I'd check it out, not having heard it before. Very nice.
This is absolutely my fav song But I have no one like it with me and I want to listen to it with someone So if you’re from Riyadh in Saudi Arabia let’s listen to it with each
Randy Crawford is my favourite female singer. This album, Naked and True, is one of the highlights of her career. I love it. I have all her albums on CD and when I go through them I can't help feeling disappointed that some of them are so lacklustre or uninspired. Everything Must Change was a great start to her career, but it was a patchy one. Secret Combination, Abstract Emotions and No Regrets were great, But the songs on some of the others were pretty poor. If she had got some better songs and maybe written more of her own like Almaz, she would have become a superstar.
