@@dbjack7022 fair enough if you don't like Rowan Robertson stylistically. Try not to forget though, when he emerged on the rock scene back in the day at the grand old age of 17, he was wiping the floor with guys twice his age. So maybe a little respect wouldn't go amiss.
First time I have been aquatinted with Rowan, and despite his unconventional choice in guitar, I believe this is the closest I have heard to the magic of Randy Rhoads of any modern guitarist! I can listen to this guy all day long I can’t listen to Zakk for very long
Dude. Seriously. Rowan shines on "Lock Up The Wolves" (1990), but this was not very good at all. There are non-famous players on RU-vid that are better at playing Randy Rhoads, than almost all known guitarists. Like this guy, for example... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-igudxb9qld8.html
Look up some of a young guy at the time on Ozzys retirement sucks tour Joe Holmes especially playing Mr Crowley very very close to Randy's style. Also Traci Guns diong crazy train another beast but much respect to this man he's great
The best one to copy Randy’s style was Brad Gillis in the 1982 tour Who took over for Randy after he died well the second guitarist take over for Randy after he died
In my humble opinion Randy Rhoads was a hell of a Great Guitarist with such a distinctive sounds recognized right away with all those combinations of beautiful notes ones he fret his guitar . He was a GUITAR god and still he is .
I bet…..if the next person he does that too. Beats him over the forehead with that mic. He may stop trying to steal the show from other singers. For GODS sakes!!!
Devin sounding do much like Ozzy. I've heard him sing lead on Whitesnake's Still of The Night and he has the range. Here he was clearly doing his best to just sound like Ozzy. Bach is a right pain here.
Yeah he does and so do the rest of us! That other guy who the fuck cares his voice is so ordinary I really am not being a prick to the other dark haired guy but yeah Baz is so much better and unique! He has devoted his whole life to his art and it shows. I should know I can sing like him see my videos. If you can to then post like I have and we will see what you got. If you are one of us then your opinion counts for something.... if not then you really are in no place to say shit.so keep your opinions which have no founding to yourself. ESH
+James Hart Sab was trying to save this song from being a trainwreck!Devin should stick to being a security guard ..or whatever he does for a living? LOLZ
+Wiccanize I think you must just be out of touch with the movement. Instead "you are the movement", that I had after a long night of tipping the bottle... and getting my hashbrowns smothered, covered, chunked, diced, capped, topped, peppered, and country....
As I look through these comments, I can tell who the diehard RR fans are. And I understand and respect your opinions on whether Rowan played the solo correct, or why he chose to play a Strat over a Jackson or LP. Even though this tribute is about RR and his music. These guys I'm sure we're influenced by RR, but it's more of putting your own feel and re-creating the song. Not out of disrespect, but give it their personal touch on it. IMO
Rowan has a heart of gold. When he first created a channel on RU-vid we became immediate friends after I attempted to contact him. We've even talked on the phone with one another before and I'd like to do so again. Rowan is just ... cool. And as a side note ?? On Rowan's original RU-vid channel ( which has been removed by Rowan ) he uploaded a video onto that channel a cover of Black Sabbath's " War Pigs " as a experiment and " I " was the very first person to ever hear/see it.
Getting the vibe people don't enjoy sharing the stage with S. Bach. I don't understand why -- he is super humble. No ego at all - HA HA HA HA! Not funny. M. Devin rocking the Easter Passion Play look - in honor of all the Easter "Randy will resurrect" rumors back in March '82 no doubt! ;-)
These guys all rock but something still, after all this time, just not right, without Daisley or Kerslake or Don Airey, or the myriad other keyboard players, not there. Were they invited? Where was Tommy A?
@@guitpizz Perhaps. He's talented, and made some great music. Slave to the Grind was nearly a masterpiece of the genre, and the record after that showed maturity, but he's got a huge ego. My friends opened for him in the mid'90's, on the "Bring 'Em Bach Alive" tour, and he seems insecure. We were hanging out outside the club (Ballard Firehouse, in Seattle), where they may have sold 100 or more tickets to a very small venue, and he arrived in a limo, LOL, and then got out at this tiny club, and tried to look like a rock star, but then proceeded to drop a folder of papers, which were probably setlists, and other stuff, and looked dumb. haha Decent show, but nothing like if he would have had Snake and Scotti Hill. Hill was the true X-factor of Skid Row. Solos that will be remembered for years and years.
Why go to the gym when you are rock singer nearly 50? The gym is for self-conscious teenagers and insecure men. Who gives a shit if you have a belly when you're a hovering around the fifty mark.
Yes, Bach just can't sing live never could. Skid Row, a band that strangely made it shows how important that first hit is, a singer's voice may suck but it can be hidden in the studio not so much live.
Lol. The lick at 2:47... coming out of it, Rowan looks back at his drummer like "WTF bro, you're OFF!" And yeah, i think the drummer is the weak link in this particular band.
His strat stay's in tune well!!! That style of trem soundz more like Randy, But i think Nuno last year was great an Phil x this year Took it for me. That's just my take. Randy alway's wanted his students to put there best foot forward an develop there Own style. Those two played his note's with there own style added in.
Awful guitar tone in my lowly opinion. Put some delay and an overdrive on that rig. It is crapping out left and right. If Rowan Robertson guitar god ? I don't think so. He is no RR. I've heard better solos at the corner bar.
