Hey everyone thanks for watching! So I said Brad Gillis was fired but by like all accounts he left of his own volition to continue with Night Ranger and make the hit “Sister Christian” and thus he more likely FIRED OZZY from HIS LIFE. Chalk that one up to my brain damage, I did him dirty! Let it be known. Love ya

@@GerhardGeficky-jg4ok The problem may have been that Jake E Lee was more of a guitarist than musician? I think it was a common problem among 80s guitar gods who followed Rhoads and Van Halen. They worked on the techniques more than the music. I love Jake E Lee as a guitarist and I think he is a good musician in the context of another songwriters great song, but he was never able to be compelling enough to start his own thing. Even Satriani and Vai and Malmsteen are boring to me, because they are also guitarists but not musicians. Music is not about just doing just a bunch of magic tricks onstage; it is about using songs to say something (more important than "look how great i play") that resonates with an audience. Lots of musicians actually suck at guitar, or any instrument (including voice) but they create music that people can relate to, and it is not just because people that don't get the shred are idiots. Shred, esp. in the 80s, can seem quite assholishly macho. But when shred is put into the service of a message (and is not the message itself) than it can be effective. I have a good idea what Ozzy's message to the world is all the way back to Black Sabbath, but what is Jake E. Lee's message to the world? As "great "of a guitarist he is (at least by shred standards of greatness), He's never made a compelling musical statement of his message to us.

Ozzy and Sabbath created metal in the 60s. I finally got to see him on the scream tour. It was awesome. Ozzy has been my favorite since the first time I heard him in 86.

Your comments are very well thought out. I appreciate your perspective. It's not all fluff like a lot of RU-vid channels are. I'm in on subscribing to you.

I notice Zakk borrowed a lick from Hotel California at the end of his solo on Mama I'm Coming Home.

of course they all rocked. We forget how young sometimes Zakk was to be so talented as he was.

Always thought Jake was an amazing guitarists and really loved those 2 albums he played on - first 4 albums are classics - saw Zakk when Ozzy did a short UK tour to break him in - middle of Summer at Manchester Ritz ( which rarely had gigs then) I thought the ballroom floor was going to collapse it was bouncing so much !!!

Glad you focused on Mr. Crowley. I had a Picture disc of Ozzy and the Live version of Crowley on that was the best. Glad you mentioned Bernie Torme Bernie was a hero to go into that position. Randy recently died, Ozzy and the band depressed. Bernie said he couldn't hear the others at MSG yet he played on. Jake E. Lee was good too. Too many waning songs with Zach but No more tears was great.

Ozzy is the Sauron of music. Like Sauron, Ozzy created a long line of fearsome titans, ready to do battle with any stage. Seriously though, IMO, it is an unbroken string of baddasses playing with one of rock's greatest singers. Respect to all involved.

I seen Ozzy in 1996. I was unaware that Zach was not playing with him and I was so depressed about it.. I love that I got to see Ozzy but I was really really down that I didn't get to see Zack with him 🥴
