I was a DJ from 1988-2000. I wasn't aware there was anything like this on the market. I didn't even know about the Rane 12 MK-I. When I first saw the MKIIs, I went into Guitar Center and tried the MK-I. I ordered 2 Rane 12 MK-II, a Numark Scratch mixer, and AKG K553 MK-II Headphones. This is what I've been looking for since the CD-J era! Thank you for resurrecting my hobby and passion Rane!!! I'm so excited! I can't wait to receive my MK-II order on October 16.

The hybrid mode for Traktor is not working for me. The Twelve's are not showing up in the controller editor for Traktor. The buttons do nothing when in hybrid mode

@@VegasReyesOG Controller Editor is for Native Instruments OEM Products. You would need to make a custom MIDI mapping in the MIDI settings of your Traktor Software!

@@gremlynmusic - wouldn't that be included in the coming Traktor update? Can't remember where I got the Pioneer CD-J2000 mapping, for example, when I added it to Traktor.

if this could be used as a standalone, without a laptop, to add to an exiting cdj3000 set up that would be amazing. Just needs a small screen with usb to load your library...big win.

Can i connect this directly via usb to my pc and then use my old nondvs mixer for scratching?

The TWELVE MKII is a midi controller, but a DVS integrated mixer or box still needs to be incorporated for it to work with Serato or other software.

Frustrating because I want a controller that has this 12" platter, but I also want 4% pitch. I also don't want to use a bulky laptop. Rane needs to make an all in one unit with with these 12" platters, more pitch option {4%} for super accurate mixes for House, Trance and Techno, and a nice 10" LED screen so we don't need the clumsy laptop.

If they added a loop feature, this would've been a slam dunk. Luckily I'm gonna buy it anyway cuz that's not needed for scratching anyway

@DJ Von Dolph wouldn't that just activate a pre-made loop like it would a pre-made hot cue? I meant moreso loop in/loop out or auto 4 beat loop with a 2x and 1/2x to adjust it.

It’s midi ... just remap some of the buttons your not going to use like the 33/45 buttons ... two of the deck selectors etc do a loop in and out and a 1/2 and 2x ... I don’t need a nudge setup on the 33/45 as I have a technics 1210 on the other side and use old school ways using the spinning platter to do that :) isn’t the idea that you want the real turntable feel?

They Could Have Done That With The First Ones Made But It’s About Making Money So They Had To Hold Some Of That Stuff Back For The Second Generation Of Them ThatsOne Reason Why I Never Jump On The First Wave Of Anything Because Most Likely The Second Wave Is Going To Be Way Better!

This is really the mk3 if you think about it. The MK1 had the terrible platter than couldn’t be changed and all the outputs were in the back. MK2 moved everything underneath.

hey rane crew :) is a rane twelve mk3 in near future possible? love your product! will soon have to add this masterpiece to my setup! the only thing that would make it even more perfect for me, would be a 'stop time' knob (like on the one). digital dvs is the way to go🙌thank you for working with traktor🙏☀

Djs would go insane for Ranes version of Vestaxs now legendary Controller-1 turntable with notation controls complete with octaves and vibrato switches. Reloop tried to do recreate the Controller-1 with their turntable but the torque isn't there so note changes sound slurry or sluggish and arent as instant as Vestaxs were. I think Rane could fix this in their version of the C-1 if they chose to make one with the technology of the 12 MK2s.

Just upgraded from the 1st gen to the MK-II. I’m impressed with how much better the MK II’s are. But I lost a lot of money trading my 1st gens in for the upgraded versions.

Would be nice to have dedicated Pitch Bend buttons. I heard the 33 45 buttons can be used for this, but how do you not accidently activate 45rpm if only trying to pitch bend the track a little faster to catch it up to another track?

Yes you can in Serato DVS mode as it's the official Serato Noisemap audio file that plays out of the RCA outputs.

why not add usb port for loading tracks and ditch the computer all together just add a small screen add audio out and just plug to the mixer ... way easier

Hy, do you still need a DVS Serato interface to use the MIDI controller ?

Yes, to use Serato you will need a Serato-enabled mixer or box (like the SL4). Some other software, like djay by Algoriddim, can support the TWELVE MKII as a midi device without needing an additional interface or mixer.

Still missing some buttons, No loop in or outs, no sync button, no reverse motor buttons, no quantize button, no key lock button... i still need to use another controller to get those features or manually click on laptop. Kinda lame to spend that much when I still can use a Traktor X1 controller and phase DVS and get the best of both works on my Technics 1210s. Also the ability to play a vintage vinyl on the fly is not possible.
