Tanya, I like your snowmen but I really like your bell. You have turned some really beautiful pieces but I was moved by the bell when your first started turning it. I have never thought about turning a bell but I'll have to consider it. There's something symbolic about a bell, and a holiday bell at that. Your additions to the bell really enhanced it all that much more! It's really beautiful!

Looks good Tanya. I taught myself how to make those last year. My wife put a little electronic gizmo in, so it rings like a church bell. It's pretty cool. I fell and hurt myself, so I've not been in the shop for over a week. But hopefully I'll be good to in a short while.

How cute are those! I need to crochet you some scarves and stocking hats for those snowmen! Heck, I need to get in the shop and make some myself, lol. You're inspiring me. Haven't turned anything in a while. My VRBO housekeeping jobs are keeping me hopping. October, November, and December are some of my busiest months. It will slow down in January, thank goodness.

Thank you so much 😊 To be honest, I never measured it. The bell size is 5"h×2½"w My guess is the blank was somewhere around 6"h×3or3½"w They are fun and quick to turn. Have a blessed weekend 🙏
Nice bell and snowmen. I’ve put bells inside bells before and like you I like the clacker better. You ever make the birdhouses and use limbs turned sideways that make a curved top for the houses? Try them as people really love them but watch them fingers!

Hi 👋, Tanya, Ding 🛎️ Dong 😂, Ring My Bell 🔔, I no a song about that, 😂, sorry i’m a bit late, when you upload is this, I was in transit, sorry, Mercedes, van. ha ha😂, I had been back to the Uk, I have picked up some tools and timber from my container, that’s been in store for nearly 4 years, six boards of ash, five boards of Brazilian mahogany, yes, it is really Brazilian mahogany, I got it secondhand back in the 80s when working on a job out in Germany, you won’t believe it, but the fence was made of mahogany, sacrilege, and some oak, and some Douglas fir, and a very large metalworking lathe tailstock, that used to be fitted to my Watkin RS8, I had a stepper motor fitted to it, as I think I might of said in the past that in the late 90s, I had a contract to make thousands of Pepper and Salt mills , I could produce a mill Top unless and 30 seconds, it was done into actions, I would press the button the quill good travel forward to distance, and it would produce the underside of the mill, Top, then a parting tool to part it off, then I will turn it around in the next step, to form the shape of the Top, Plus I’ve picked up some other little goodies as well , by the time you see this, you’ve probably uploaded your next coffee break Thursday woodturning territorial, 😂, C Y 2 M , Thursday, stay safe, Phil from the moulin France.
