Great to see you with another video on a nice P38, I have a late DHSE(2000) and it's in pretty good fetal to be fair, mainly needs a new turbo and a/c pump, but I'll do them later in the year now.if you can would you show a good video on doing the heated seat repair as I'd like to repair mine and my drivers side lumbar support doesn't inflate either! So I'll do it at same time, love the videos on you doing these great cars please keep them coming. Tom
Hi bud, when you do your heated front seats repair would you put a good video on here with all the process included please? There is nothing on RU-vid really to help with this procedure on the P38. 👍 cheers Tom
It was only the other day I was wondering what you had done with the other one, and I've just finished off working on my old P38 for the last hour or so, another water ingress episode, never be board owning a P38.
I have water coming in on mine at the front somewhere, I've re sealed the pollen filter housing on both sides but still a leak on drivers side somewhere! So I feel your pain with it bud🤔🤔👍
@@roofdownfun I may have a solution for you, where to cover for the pollen filter sits is a removable metal plate, a couple of fixings in the rain run off chanel, and three or four above around the wiper arm area. You will need to remove the plastic lower trim on the window and the plastic scuttle panel, which is easy enough. Ones you remove the metal panel you will see where the original seal is, its just one of the stick on types, I cleaned it all of and resealed with a quality sealeant, water on mine would build up inside the pollen filter housing then drip through the vent flap in the drivers corner, resulting is wet though sponge / carpets, there are also some electrical connectors in this area behind the trim for the bonnet catch, you don't want corrosion getting in there that's for sure. I've poured numerous water can fulls down the screen and around the panel, fingers crossed it's looking good to press.
@@chrisgreenwood271 I've taken off as far as the square rubber seal that sits on the hole on the metal bulk head and re sealed that but still leaking! Is there any way I can give you any contact details so you could send me pictures of the area you mean please? Tom
@@roofdownfun I'm not on face book or the likes of, best description would be the plastic pollen filter cover that is held in place with two screws, is the panel in question, it sits under the large plastic scutle panel the drivers wiper blade spindle passes through it, once you get your eye in it should make sense, you will also have to remove the wiper arm.
