Very Impressive how the recoil was so minimalized. Of course, I would have cheated and placed the ends of the egg on the block and stock. Even if a very strong person squeezes the egg between his/her palm, it will not break easily. Try it.
Keith, I saw this video when I had ample time. What happened to the egg was the sled jumped up; then, moved 1/16" back. If the sled was fastened to the bench, that would not have happened. Still, it stopped a huge amount of recoil.
Test any magnum calibers? I have a lead sled with 50 lbs of weight added and still fold up a jacket behind it to sight in .458 win mag... does what I need it to do👍🏻
I haven't seen a Lead Sled review so far that shows the most important aspect of it. How accurate a group can one achieve with it in comparison to a regular bench rest? Same thing for this review, no targets, no groups, jst a cracked egg.
I need to get a leadsled so bad. I have hematoma in my shoulder right now from shooting rifles too much. A big old welt bigger than a golf ball sticking out of my shoulder :-)
That's not how the instantaneous peak G forces work. The rifle has hit peak accelerations before your shoulder even begins to move. That's like people worrying about letting steel plates hang or be solid mounted. All of the energy is dissipated into the plate before it begins to move.
Scopes not made to take all the recoil an when u strape a gun down in big guns 338 win mag 445 500 exspress ull geta cracked stock or busted scope Just do a review urself ,
