Customer is from Chitlapakkam, this issue happened at Mahindra Chrompet showroom 👆 This is the reason why still people hesitate to buy Electric cars. Manufacturers need to give 100% support to win customer trust in switching over to Electric cars. Even then it is difficult to get rid of petrol cars by 2030

Why do they remove the front grill from electric cars? I understand that as EVs don't have requirement for a radiator for cooling the engine it is not needed. But it's absence spoils the look of the car. It looks unnatural somehow. Since the batteries and electric motor also requires some degree of cooling, they could have retained the grill so there is air circulation.

Yes.. thermal runaway and risk of fire/explosion is a reality. Though have mention that clamping the battery pack to the chassis is better as metal is a better heat conductor/dissipator than air any day.

Spending so much money for 200 km range not worth. What i mean is we will definitely use vehicle in highway after investing so much money, for that range is too low. ARAI certified range no where near for EV vehicle. We got to be careful. Long way to go for EV vehicle. Say minimum 7 to 10 years to gain confidence and available of chargers across highways
