Phillip Vallayo has a couple of really good videos recently showing stages as he did it. You can see how fast he picks up targets and data and obviously efficiency of motion is big.
No new knives. I still need to get a Seb 31. My 25 is still my main carry unless I go where there is a blade length restriction in which I carry my small 21.
Were you using the audio from the gopro during the hunter practice runs? It cuts out so much ambient noise I thought my volume turned off lol I think the MK4's looks really good on paper too. I like that they're 34mm so I don't have to get new mounts and what not. Did you hear from a reliable source that they're the same glass quality as the MK5? I was unsure of that, but maybe the significant cost savings is the 4:1 ratio that's cheaper to make than the MK5's 5:1. I'm really interested in the MK4, I might pick one up when they're available here.
I was using the Rode Wireless Go II mic the entire time. The GoPro mic would definitely be worse. As far as the Mark 4HD, I have only heard the rumors from the Interwebs that the glass is the same. I can't imagine there will be much difference at all, though. I might get a Mark 4HD 6-24x52 because the weight is 27 oz (IIRC) to try out. Not to mention, it looks like they give you a real windage dial so you don't have to buy aftermarket like with the 5HD. However, I'm seriously considering a ZC420 this year, especially since they will be offering them with the 10MIL per rev turret. I was close to getting one last year, but held off to get the EL Range TA.
Are you sure they are referring to the primary extraction being out time, I would think they are talking about the timing of the cocking peice where it passes off to the trigger. Primary extraction has nothing to do with the trigger, and only has to do with breaking the fired round lose from the chamber. I could be wrong and please explain if I am.
....so once you close your bolt/in battery, & your face comes off the rifle/break cheek weld, is that considered sky-loading/sky-loaded like you did at 8:05 ?
@@ethanharris5556 Yeah, I have it secured to my over-the-ear hearing pro. I bet there's a phone app that would do this, but I'm not a fan of using my phone in this type of scenario.
