The way the barrel stage is written the block is to prevent it from rolling forward ( i assume away from you ) Thats the way i have been practicing it. I will chuck a small bag at it at the buzzer to keep it from rolling back Thx for posting the videos, they are a big help. Keep up the good work

Good review of my COF. The block is not a required part of the stage. Only needed if you are concerned about your barrel rolling away. We have barrels at the club that utilize wooden feet to keep them from rolling.

I would probably just move cinderblock upright as it doesn’t say in the rules that it can’t be used for support.

Great videos. Some nrl22 props look a little challenging for a 6 ft 5in tall shooter. Have any pointers for a newbie getting ready for my first match this weekend?

I don't think being tall is a hindrance in most cases. It can be advantageous because you will likely be able to get your knee up for elbow support (with or w/o bag depending on prop) more often than not on mid-height props. My best recommendation is to take a step ladder and practice off of it. That is the best practice prop because it has all varying heights on one prop.

Great videos. Who makes your large shooting bag? Thanks for all the great content.

What point in the video is the bag you're referring to?

I watched the video again and you mentioned the bag. It was the pump pillow. I just ordered it. Thank you!

Put bipod behind the bag Everyone using the same tripod is like saying everyone should use the same bag.

By NRL22 rules, tripods are not allowed unless part of the stage description. The tripod is a prop that is supplied by the MD, not a piece of competitor gear. Thus, competitors shouldn't be using their own tripods for this stage. But this is a good topic of discussion for the NRL22 ruling body.

Can tell me where in the rules the tripod is addressed as a prop supplied by the MD?

@@fractalspeppers1227 Section 3, A, 3: "The NRL22 will provide a Standard Barricade List. These items will be utilized sporadically in different monthly courses of fire, so new clubs do not need to obtain the barricades listed until they show up in a monthly course of fire. The standard barricade list is: 6 foot A-frame ladder, 5 gallon plastic bucket, 2 gallon plastic bucket, 3 cinder blocks measuring 8”x8”x16” , 10 feet of any rope, a folding chair with an open back , 3 used pickup truck tires that can be obtained for free at any tire store or junk yard (overall diameter between 28-32”), a 55 gallon plastic drum, a saw horse with a shelf on the bottom, a tank trap, a rooftop with a suggested minimum pitch of 4/12, a tripod with a suggested minimum rating of holding 35 lbs. and the maximum (fully extended) height must be 50” or more, and a NRL22 Pyramid (a cut sheet is available to download and located in Match Director assets on the NRL22.com website)."

On cinco de mayo stage did your match md tell competitor shoot stage in that order? Or competitor could shoot in any order since it didn’t say in” Following order or manor” like the other stages in May COF

I am the MD and I just told people to run it tips - center - leg just to eliminate any ambiguity.
