G'day Guys, We have finally made it up to Cape York! The very top of the east coast of Queensland Australia. This is has been our goal since we bought the Ford Ranger Raptor and started kitting it out for overland travel. We have wanted to be the "FIRST EVER" Raptor documented on RU-vid taking on the epic remote tracks of this bucket list iconic 4 wheel drive destination of Australia. It's a tough life but you are doing it so well. Do yourself a favour and buy an Auspit. 2hrs over the open fire and you will never fail with a chook. The smoked flavour is sensational. Keep the videos coming mate.

Thanks mate, great spot out there at connies! It was my first go at it, definitely be going back. My little mate is a mad fisherman, his enthusiasm out classes dads fishing skills hahaha!

I can't give the game away to early mate, got to build the suspense. Hopefully do a few Tag alongs starting in 2021, nothing too wild, just share some of the great places I've shown on the channel, nothing that will break our shiny big trucks.

Mate great video again, Connies Beach looked amazing, a real piece of paradise. Looking forward to the next episode. A quick question, what brand of awning do you have? Do you find the 270 degree works well over the tub?

Thanks mate connies is definitely a hidden gem! Im using the Rhino Rack batwing awning. I've got it set back about 950mm from the cab so it covers only half the tub and majority over the gate and beyond. I mostly use the gate as a table and meal prep so it works better for me there. Setting it back also makes it easier for me to access the gear closer to the back window.

Another great vid! What roof rack are you running? Looked like rhino backbone and pioneer platform? I’ve got this on my ranger and get a lot of wind noise on the highway (when nothing is on the rack). Keen to hear your experience as rhino don’t do a deflector for the new pioneer so am looking at changing. Cheers.

G’day John, to be honest it wasn’t until I’ve had a ton of comments on my vids asking about the wind noise did I really start to take notice...funnily enough I was only just saying to the wife last weekend damn these racks are noisy.

Dang this makes me miss home very much. Been in the Philippines with my wife and it just does not offer the life style. I miss just waling in my backyard and slinging rounds down range or jumping into a truck, finding a nice little beach and setting camp. I also like taking a boat down river and finding beaches along the way, stay the night and move to another. Would love to stay in Australia for while, but I think the cost of living would destroy my Military pension. Plus, you guys drive on the wrong side of the road lol, Im joking ofcourse. What happens if you go out of reach of your drone?

Mate that sounds like living the dream to me! Certainly can't live as large on a Mil Pension here in Oz as you could in the Philippines that's for sure, I lived in Thailand for a while...its cool but just not the same...no place like home. My drone has 8000 meter range haven't been game to test it to its limits although the controller is GPS linked to the drone so it knows its last known position if it decides to hit a tree or gets taken out by birds of prey...As for driving on the wrong side of the road...its all the same once you hit the dirt hahaha.

Great video. My only question is, was that fire pit on the beach already there or did you make a new one? Obviously you know about this issue and there was already a pit with charcoal from someone else so all good. Maybe just explain next time that it’s not ok to just make a fire on the beach and leave a bloody awful mess in what should be a pristine environment. Just my 2c.
