On this episode I install some long springs KFFR-120H 50-100kg coils that raise it 50mm. I show you the steps, tools, sizes and torque specs to do this yourself at home.
Ufen Orum thanks, yea been busy as last year and been broke this year so had no new bits to put on or make a video about. But that might change later on.
vevohoeyo hey, they are riding great, took a week for them to settle by they ride like factory but the tiniest bit stiffer which will change when I get my bullbar and winch. Also vid for the rears are up
Hi mate. I bought these springs and just about to have them put in. BUT I’m seeing a lot of other guys are getting their shocks revalved. As it’s been 2yrs since you made this video, do you still think revalving isn’t necessary?
I personally have never had an issue, when I remove all the weight out of the vehicle the ride becomes stiff but that is just because of the heavy springs. But I ride and drive stock raptors and rangers everyday in my job and when I jump back into mine I don’t really notice any difference… especially not a couple grand difference. But that’s just what I think
@@jacobsgarage5458 thanks you mate for being so informative. Much appreciated. I’m just going to do the front springs for now. Might do the rear later, but will let the front settle first and see how it looks and feels.
awesome video mate. so what do you recomend leveling kit or new springs. what is better for ride quality ? Can you just change the front springs ? and the car looks level ? thanks mate
Andrew Bamber cheers, well there are the two options for leveling the front one is the springs I installed which also help when putting a bullbar on because it holds more weight, but the other is the coil over spacers such as the snake racing ones. To keep factory ride quality go with the spacers but if you are adding more weight I’d go with the springs to keep a better ride and height. I did change just the fronts initially and she sat perfectly level
Hi Jacob amazing and helpful video thank you. If you are kind enough can you confirm if the tyre size 315/70/17 fits after the 1” lift set up like your video?
It’s a 40-50mm lift and I couldn’t tell you because I have stock wheels and tires, my guess is if it is 315/70r17 it’s still around a 33” tire just wider so all you would really need it wider offset rims, so instead of running a pos55 spacing you would run a pos20 or 0 offset but then you run the risk of the tread sticking past the guard
Thanks Jacob how was the ride after was it still soft or you feel the bumps now.I am waiting on my spring and hesitating to do it , thinking it might wreck it but i have put a bar and winch on last week .(predator and Wran winch).
dom bivi I haven’t driven it much yet but I live on a very bumpy corrugated road and it feels pretty much the same, but it also feels like it has less body roll on the road. Yet too see how it will feel with a bullbar and winch though. So far I haven’t really got anything bad too say but it is early days... only fitted them 6hrs ago
