Rangers 7 v 1 Dundee United - The Return of Barry Ferguson

Barry Ferguson made a welcome return to Rangers as they destroyed Dundee United 7-1 to reach the final of the league cup. Nacho Novo and Dado Prso combined to give Rangers a 2-0 half-time lead but Dundee United fought back at the start of the second half and looked like making Novo pay for missing a penalty when Jason Scotland scored. Jim McIntyre then struck both posts with a 30 yard effort but soon after Thomas Buffel scored his first goal for the club and Rangers were set for victory. Fernando Ricksen curled in a free-kick minutes after the return of Ferguson and he setup Nacho Novo for his second goal while fellow substitute Steven Thompson added two further goals to seal the comfortable victory.

@@becksy539 only 6 teams in england the rest would struggle in spl but if rangers celic even aberdeen hibs hearts had the fantasy football money that England teams get well different story maybe we could have a league of high end foreign imports that make up the bulk of squads foreign owners foreign managers and mostly foreign players and yet it's still called english football 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣no bother pal

@@johnsmithsnr9818 Thats like saying if all the league 1 and 2 teams in england had the fantasy money the teams in the prem it would be a different story, what are you, a genius?, got nothing against the smaller clubs in the SPL, but when you have the old firm, and then the 3rd and 4th best teams with 10 x less to spend on wages its an equivalence to man city and man utd playing every season in league 1 in england, and thats highlighted in the fact nobody has won the SPL outwith the old firm since Dinosaurs were still around

Sad but true....we will NEVER see his like again. The family connection....coming through the system.....deservedly the captain of a team with world class players......a GENUINE big game player (memo to Ryan Kent).....goalscorer....role-model (flicking v signs..gimme a break). I like how Rangers don't have any numbers on their shirts - like in div3, the HUD scoreboard says "The Rangers" and the uploaders name is "weareTHErangers"... sigh.

PS this cup is under the SFL jurisdiction and they have stated they are not interested in stripping any trophies, regardless of the outcome of any tribunals. Unlucky.

The commentatorin this match was utterly biased every goal rangers scored was lucky according to this second rate pundit the goalie was to slow natcho should never have got two goals bacause their defence was slow you could hear the difference when they scored oh it was brilliant it was magic so biased against rangers fact

A result like this doesn't half leave a nasty taste in the mouth.... Its the utd supporters I feel for you spent good money attending this game and it was all a total con of a team they were facing. This was basically an EBT team assembled most of these players wouldn't have been near sevco if it wasn't for their underhand cheating.... 🤮 🤮 🤮
