after loosing the first two games, TB shook off the cobwebs and have proven the NYR have been running on luck, youth and hype this whole time. they simply cannot matchup against a healthy, talented team with a top tier goalie. good luck next season.

Too bad for the Rangers that Trouba didn't land that elbow on Palat. He just wasn't able to get the head shot he was looking for. Don't worry though. I'm sure that Trouba will be head hunting like a maniac in game 6. I'm sure he'll be able to hurt somebody. Giving someone a concussion always creates some momentum for the Rangers.

Lightning fan here. I actually feel for this guy. Unlike most Rangers fans I have encountered, he isn't making excuses about the "referee conspiracy." He's calling it like it is for his team.

Absolutely pathetic offensice showing, 1 even strength goal in last 180 minutes of play, Kreider and Zibanejad were invisible again.

Enormous Rangers hater here. But, for them to win, gotta come out aggressive on offense and pinch, send the D and take chances. If they try to win a tight checking game on Saturday, they most likely lose 1-0 or 2-0. That's Tampa's game. Take chances, get traffic in front of Vasy or lose another tight checking heart wrencher.

Too many late goals are killing the Rangers it a ongoing story all playoffs. Pittsburgh, carolina, and now Tampa bay can't win a cup like that 😒.

Brother, I am also the biggest Rangers fan along with yourself.. last night was gut wrenching. Missed calls, missed opportunities, and two lazy shots from the blue line that found their way. Look I love this team! But unfortunately I believe that this game is what will cause their season to end. In the end NYR turned into Carolina a little bit in these playoffs and this round (relying on winning so many home games especially in this series). Look everyone knows that Tampa is the defending champs but they are not unbeatable. The Rangers have had a great year and a great run and as resilient as they are, having a series lead has basically led to their doom. Maybe it’s fatigue or just Gallant needs to take responsibility for his team not being ready to play in games 3-5. Whether u blame the refs, it comes down to Ryan Strome, it’s been a nice run with Strome but we simply can’t give a generous contract to a player that can’t come through when we need it, from the shootout loss to Detroit mid February or game 7 against Carolina (right before scoring a goal) or now game 5 and so many other opportunities it’s time to let him go. Another thing that has affected every team that played in the playoffs this year, officiating, the officiating has been horrid and it comes to a point where the refs have too much of an impact on the final result of a game. I’m tired of hearing well they don’t want to make a call because they don’t want the game to come down to a PP. Well aren’t officials put on the ice to call penalties and keep players in check, so in the last 10 minutes of a game 7 tied at 2-2 the players can just take as many penalties as they want and the refs won’t call it because they don’t want a PP ending the game. It’s not just a problem that’s getting worse in the NHL, it’s also terrible in the MLB and NBA as well. I am also definitely not one of those fans saying just accept defeat and we will be back, live in the moment not the past or future. I live near where the Carolina Hurricanes play and everyone said here after the 2019 playoffs that Carolina would be back after getting swept by Boston in the Eastern conference finals during a shocking run for the ages, guess what, Carolina has been a top ten favorite to win the cup the last 2 out of 3 seasons since that run and they haven’t reached the conference finals since that run. Rangers fans, even though this has been an unexpected run, it is no guarantee that the Rangers will march to the conference finals again next season and for years to come. Take care of business now and think about the future when it’s here. Look Rangers we have your back so please shock us again with your comeback skills and give us a SCF appearance, we’ve always got your back, never give up and it’s time to bounce back in game 6! I thought the Rangers played decently in this game. Defense tightened up a bit. With that said, the Panarin, Strome and Copp line has been dreadful in this series.

As deflating as this loss was (and the game three loss), the Rangers could steal the next game. Go balls to the wall, Igor plays crazy and get some luck. Win it somehow and then game seven could be won at MSG. Likely? No. But certainly not impossible.

I’m a rangers fan and I must say that the lightning deserve those wins. Rangers offensive strategy of dumping the puck and hoping someone can get to it and start something is so tiring already. They gotta do something in game 6 or it’s vacation time. Any other player in the NHL instead of strome and it’s 3-2 rangers going back to Tampa. You need to be great and lucky to win a cup. They certainly have both going for them. That was one of the easiest empty net passes I have ever seen. You cannot miss that as a player. Ever.

Tough to win when your only offense is a bad angle goal from Lindgren. That said, it proves that shooting the puck at least gives you a chance...just ask Sergachev about his two frisbees from downtown tonight. And as much as I appreciate Strome coming back from injury, he shouldn't have bothered if he's unable to bury that absolute sitter from Copp. He LOVES missing empty nets in big spots. That could've sent us to the SCF. I'd rather resign Copp than him, although they might not be able to afford either since Zibanejad and Fox contracts kick in next year. Maybe Kravtsov and Drury make nice so they have RW depth, but that doesn't solve their problem at center.

Refs won this game, I understand they swallow their whistles during playoffs but there was 3 blatant trips which didn’t get called, the bear hug on Kakko when the puck was nowhere near him, the phantom call on Miller stopping Perry. I love Wes but these playoffs he’s really been off the ball and I don’t think he should get a game in the finals. All that being said, Rangers actually looked decent and just got outworked when we needed it most. I can smell some big moves coming after Saturday
