I am glad he got his European final as a manager, just a shame he didn't win it but still, he got to a final, that's a great acheivement, especially when the whole of Scottish football wanted Rangers to fail. This was the season we were on course for a Quadruple and we asked the SFA and SPL to help with the fixture congestion. The same help they gave Celtic in 2003 when they reached the Uefa final btw. Celtic and the other clubs kicked off if you remember and Rangers basically got told to fu#k off by Scottish football. Can you imagine the amount of attention and extra fans Scottish football would have got for having a club to reach a quadruple like this. This is a big part of the reason why Scottish football will never be a top 10 league, too many allow selfisness and personal bias to make their decisions for them. League recontrction will never happen, us fans will watch the same crap every season. Anyway, Sir Walter Smith is a legend forever and always.
