UPDATE: As discussed at the end of the video the snag in the deal was APOEL allowing him to leave early from his loan, unfortunately they haven't agreed & Rangers are expected to sign Jefte in the summer instead of January Means ridvan won't be going anywhere now & jefte is expected to replace barisic at the end of the season.. Decent plan if it happens!

I’ve been looking jealously for years at the Scandinavians , Dutch,Belgians etc when they keep unearthing these talents and thinking “where do they keep finding these guys , how come our scouts aren’t coming up with these sort of players” , well now we seem to be going down that path & i’ll not lie , it’s super exciting. absolutely delighted with the direction the club is going with recruitment. it's everything i've moaned about in these comments sections for the last year. Rangers are perfectly set up to follow the Brighton model. It's the only way I see they can sustain long term growth whilst staying competitive in Europe.

Jefte on the lefte!

Just watched Jefte and what a player he looks in attack from left back. The first thing I watched was him beating one man and then another on the left wing and then hitting an inswinger that beat the goalie for a goal from distance. Wee Ridvan will have some competition if he does stay and we sign Jefte. He can cross a ball as well. He looks a hybrid of the best of Borna and Ridvan with a touch of Brazilian flair.

This guy better be a Barisic replacement and not a Yilmaz replacement. Would be atrocious business if it was 😮

Jefté, going off my Spanish from school and holidays in Spain, would be pronounced as “Hefty” 😅 Anyways after seeing the Jefté rumour on Twitter and seeing this video I’m getting excited, but I’m having to temper my excitement given how we’ve been burned by previous transfers. Especially most of the summer transfer signings. I was worried this signing (if it happens) will mean Ridvan is definitely away but then I seen a Turkish journalist saying that Galatasaray are wanting to sign Marcus Acuna instead so maybe Borna is the one being moved on now while we can still get some money given his contract ends in the summer.

Hope ridvan stays along with jefti as we need at least two good young left backs thanks to barisac but his time is over at gers 😅

Imo if we play Borna for the remainder of the season then there's 0% chance we win the league. If we want to sell Ridvan then do so at the end of the season, but selling him now would be suicidal- unless you are going to throw a 20 year old straight in at left back who's never played football in Scotland before, which seems unlikely. Ridvan's value is only going up. Even if we just hold on for 6 months, win the league and then double our money on him, as opposed to selling him now for what we paid and throwing away our chances of winning the league.

I think yilmaz might be our answer as a winger. I dont see why not
