Rangiku reveal actually reveals three characters: 1. Kira (they will probably fight in a Story mode) 2. Hitsugaya (for obvious reasons) 3. Hinamori (Hinamori and Rangiku vs Tres Bestias)
The way the health and stock mechanic works is actually extremally similar to a really old N64 game called Fighters Destiny. The games actually share a bunch of similar ideas and mechanics to the point I'd argue it might have even been a heavy inspiration for the developers or just a funny coincidence.
This Rangiku reveal proves that Renji isn't gonna be getting revealed anytime soon because of how his bankai will function. I'm betting that they will reveal Renji around the time they start revealing the huge Bankai characters

People have been comparing it to tekken because it looks like it plays less like a arena fighter and more like a 3D fighter with a dynamic camera. I'd definitely like to see people play the game who know how to use all the defense and offense mechanics to the fullest.
As someone who's main games are "traditional" fighters like the Tekken's and the Street Fighters of the world, that just sounds like cope or ignorance to me. Like, maybe a casual first impression we could make some surface level similarities, but currently it's not doing anything substantially different from other arena fighters, not enough to be like "this reminds me of Tekken" at-least. I'm hopeful to see what the devs cooked up though. But this is so far still just an arean fighter, lol.
@@valeoncat13the developers said it themselves they took inspiration from traditional fighting games like tekken, smash bros ETC when it comes to movement and in game mechanics after all this game does have backsteps and sidesteps just like tekken.

Rangiku is interesting to me as she isn’t even in the top 20 of basic chars I’d expect in a bleach game, ESPECIALLY one going up to aizen’s defeat, so this might give us a small idea at the roster size if we’re getting her
I gotta disagree. Considering the game takes place up until the kk arc I'd say she definitely was bigger for the story than half the captains and every lt except kira, renji, momo, and hisaga. She has 2 significant fights. Which is more than every captain.
@@AlexDrewsumin fair enough but in a hypothetical 20 char roster where we already have 9 confirmed chars (ichigo, chad, uryu, renji, rukia, byakuya, kisuke, yoruichi and gin) i personally wouldn't have her in that remaining 11, which i'd fill with aizen, tosen, zaraki, barragan, tier, starkk, yamamoto, toshiro, shunsui ulquiorra and grimmjow. they're the chars i'd expect to be highest priority (maybe swapping tosen out?) and thats still not counting a bunch of picks im almost sure will get in like soi fon, mayuri, nel, shinji and even a second ichigo for full mask/full hollow. Again this is only talking a hypothetical 20 char roster though, since that was the number i personally had as the minimum needed to get to aizen's defeat (and even that's with skipping some fan favorites) so i'm just happy to see her here as it means we're getting at least some focus on the not quite as important fights, as you can totally tell the necessary parts of the story without her being playable.
@@scottprime4301 idk. I mean I think the hypothetical 20 is out the window. If rangiku is appearing that means ikkaku has to be in it. Probably all four pillars as well. Cause if you think about it, kira, yumichika, ikkaku, and momo all have just as many or more fights than her. Same w the espada.
Im guessing maybe Toshiro is next they showed the stage where he fought Gin in the last gameplay showcase with the voice actors and it'd just make sense to do Gin > Rangiku > Toshiro if they REALLY wanted to impress me they'll toss Momo in there as well
Its so insane getting consistent and hype reveals for an ANIME FIGHTER of all things. Its like just so unexpected and so out of the norm if low quality expected from these things, and i really admire how much they're cooking with this game and how much care they're putting in the advertising alone
even tho rangiku is pretty popular and has a really interesting array of abilities (after all she IS a experienced lieutenant) i didnt expect her to be revealed or to even be in the game since her 3 fights up to the end of arrancar's arc are really not that important, with that we can expect the roster to be really big and we're probaly gonna get a fight against izuru, and possibly one versus the 3 bestias and ayon alongside momo, shuhei and izuru hopefully these 3 will be playable too.
@JokerP5 I doubt they'll put all the vizards. Shinji and Hiyori probably, Mashiro, Hachi and Kensei maybe and I doubt love and rose. Kensei only really gets more relevance in tybw which we know the game doesn't cover
@@vfxjoyboy probaly only half of the vizzards are gonna be playable, Shinji and Hiyori are probaly in already, Kensei can be really funny with his double awakening with the mask then bankai and adding Rose now would open doors to other characters when the TYBW comes around, only adding a bankai special move for him haha
Yep, it was compared to Tekken & smash bros by the IGN article they made about the game shortly after it was announced! If I remember correctly, they said they took inspiration from those games when thinking about the health system yet wanted to stand out as something different. 😊 And Globku, I JUST released a “Where is Orihime?” And even showcased her likely abilities so great minds must think alike haha. I actually do think Renji's bankai is holding him up. It's kinda huge and is a physical thing unlike Byakuya and Rangiku's. He might need more time in the oven.
Orihime will definitely be playable, there is no way they leave her out. Maybe she doesn't make it to the main roster and is added later as DLC, but I think she makes it one way or another.
As someone who knows close to nothing about Bleach, I've been very hyped for this game It might be the final push I needed to finally read the manga Just like Naruto Storm 3 made me watch Naruto, and DBZ BT3 made me watch DBZ and DBS
Both Rangiku and Rukia share the same two Kido moves (Hado 31 Shakkaho and Hado 33 Sokatsui) but Rukia can launch several Hado 31 whereas Rangiku cannot plus her one travels slower and Rukia's Hado 33 Sokatsui version is a follow up attack after a sword slash whereas Rangiku isn't. Which characters will be given Bakudo however?
3:47 Glob, I think we will have another Ichigo for Arrancar arc, in the first trailer, at the end, a bankai Ichigo appears using attacks that the Ichigo (the one who we know) don’t use, even in the gameplay and his trailer (and yes I checked in slow down), and in his Trailer doesn’t show the Full mask (the one who change his moveset) So where my bet, the hueco mundo Ichigo will start on bankai (will have the getsuga, because he start to spam the getsuga in this arc), will awake to masked Ichigo and re awake to full hollow (vasto lorde) So in conclusion, will have at least 2 Ichigos, The soul society arc one (the one who we already seen) and the hueco mundo arc one (the one who we just see teasers from vizard Ichigo)
@@Akkihana idk man, in Ichigos trailer, in that part who show other frames for the character, doesn’t show anything about vizard Ichigo, in comparison to others, is really strange, they reveal all animations at the end of trailers I think they are holding this Ichigo to show him along with ulquiorra
The only reason I can think of why we haven't seen renji yet is because they must be saving characters with big transformations for later. Like renji,mayuri, and komamura, but I don't know. That's just what I was thinking.

rangiku isn't a character i was expecting to main but her moveset looks like it would fit me pretty well i will probably try her out the controling the opponents movement sounds like trap character and as a rachel main (blazblue) and byakuya main (under night in birth) I'm looking forward to trying her
My immediate thought with Haienko Spread is what she did vs Haley barry's fracion, spreading out the ash and then using shakaho to exlpode the entire area as a huge area denial
Getsuga tenshou is white ichigo’s move. That’s why we can’t see ichigo using it until he gets possessed by white. So we are going to get at the very least 4 ichigo : begining to bankai, bankai to mask, vizard to arrancar and no spiritual pressure ichigo (who doesn’t go into Mugetsu but has is at its finnisher) If the game actually goes through the whole story we should have 3 more : fullbringer to new zangetsu, new zangetsu to reforged double blade zangetsu, double blade zangetsu to last form zangetsu
I'm kinda worried about the Sublimation mechanic we saw in the game play showcase. I don't really like the idea of having all my hp go away from one attack multiple times. Some ideas I think that would balance this would be. 1. Have it just do a bunch of damage rather than one shotting you. 2. Have it only take away half of the possible Konpaku you could take if you dealt the full damage soul break Kikon move. This way it can't end games, but still threatens the opposing player. 3. Only be a one time use thing. I don't think its very balanced to have the ability to constantly one shot your opponent. Or maybe even a combination of 2 and 3. What do you think Globku? EDIT: After watching the matches over and over I feel like sublimation is a answer for games dragging out. I think that the combo strings should be doing more dmg to the massive hp bar rather than having a one hit kill solution. We should be more rewarded for landing combos than big ultimate attacks. The game needs to have normal attacks do more damage and have the red part of the hp bar be bigger only. Not have the whole health bar be so massive.
I dunno, that gameplay was really weird with how easily yoruichi took that last game. Perhaps the idea is to make end game chaotic by make every attack lethal? but i dunno that sounds very stupid
There are probably ways to dodge or counter it. remember it was voice actors playing, so dont expect the best gameplay. You can see that right before yourichi had to actually hit byakuya in order to trigger the special k.o move
@@JokerP5 Yeah that's true. I am a HUGE Bleach fan and everything else about the game looked amazing. That was the only gripe I had. I'd rather it just be a huge damage ultimate instead of a insta kill personally. I also found it odd the meter didn't have to fill to full to use it.
I was rewatching the 25 min gameplay trailer and I noticed some things... In the final Ichigo vs. Byakuya match at 21:06 in your video, Ichigo does his Reversal state and I think he goes Hollow Mask, he sorta grabs his face and screams upwards - his face looks slightly different too... Is that why he's able to take another konpaku/life stock when he's in reversal? Are all Visors gonna be able to take an extra stock when they go Reversal if they also go masked or is the mask going to be the evolution? Also, I think that Sublimation is needed at minimum to be able to take stocks w/o the opponent's being in red health. In all cases where it happened (as far as I remember), the character attacking was in sublimation.
When it comes to Orihime I'm now betting on her being revealed along with the other Hueco Mundo characters, i think that's the specific version of her they're making playable.
Interesting how instead of giving her the orange hair color of the original anime or the blond hair of the manga and the _TYBW_ anime, they've gone with something roughly in the middle. Orange, yes, but a lighter shade.
You gotta think they are going all the way up to aizen in the story mode. All captians and lieutenants had major fights in this time span so we can expect all captians and lieutenants and espadas at the least and thats already 30+ characters. Anyone else like visords and such would really be a good bonus
i didn't notice until my third watch of the gameplay but if you go to 19:12 in the video it seems like when ichigo uses white reverse gauge he puts on the hollow mask
they could have Rangikus b00bs revealed as 2 separate "characters" before finishing Renji.. I think their popularity would overshadow him as well. lots of people would play with them for sure.
I'm a big Orihime fan, but I really wouldn't mind her not being playable, like, I know this is a battle shonen, but a character doesn't need to have cool fights and action sequences to be unique and important, Orihime's biggest character defining moments were never in action.
My question is how unique are the captains going to be? In kenpachi going to be a build up character? Is hitsugaya going to be able to build a chill on his openents/ slow them down. As this games has been touting unique characters.

Is anyone else confused that most of Rangiku's moveset are just the Kido that Rukia did in the series? I get she can't pull out much due to her proper moves being tied to her awakened state but it just feels a bit weird all her moves are just Rukia's go to Kido. Yeah they're both Soul Reapers and Kido practitioners but still.

My best GUESS Is (based on just how insanely fast n just how devastating some of the revealed characters are) that her STYLE will focus on BREAKING THE OPPONENTS COMBO CHAIN n PREDICTING TO COUNTER THEIR OWN SPECIALS n THEIR MOVEMENT PACE... The purpose of her doing this IS TO GAIN HER AWAKENED STATE AS FAST AS POSSIBLE W LEAST DAMAGE TAKEN... She will mainly BAIT THE OPPONENT ALL OVER THE FIELD N CHIP DAMAGE HER AWAKENED BAR UP AS WELL AS DEAL CONCENTRATED COMBO DAMAGE FOR THAT VERY PURPOSE... All of this leading into HAINEKO, the STAR of the show become her MAIN ability THAT EXTENDS Rangikus ABILITIES n BASIC HIT CHAINS just beyond where her OPPONENT can STEP OUT OF essentially making HAINEKO a FREE DAMAGE COMBO SPAMMER/COMBO EXTENDER... Once In that AWAKENED STATE THE OPPONENT has NO CHOICE but to ENDURE the basic combos and GUARANTEED DAMAGE. What do you think?
haha is really funny to see people understimating Rangiku she is a really powerful and experienced lieutenant she's just lazy, love the contrast between her personality while ''working'' and fighting,i guess that by the end of the soul society arc she was probaly in the top 5 in scale of power only after Chojiro, Renji, Hisagi and Izuru coming right up, after all she defeated him without a scratch and Izuru is a really gifted fighter
