When corprate mainstream EDM never existed. And i pray one day for its vengeful revival away from the mainstream and back home to its underground analog turntablist roots.
Altar1993 pasage to the unkown... I cant find it anywhere. I found only 1 version and its leinght was 3minutes ? Is it remix or extended version?. Cant find it anywhere:(
I'm 19 and I was raised to this music from the age of 7 my dad always used to air on his pirate radio station years back in around 2003 I have always been a fan of old age trance compared to this new school crap. I wish I was born 20 years back so I could have experienced real raves like this. I wish I could have felt what all of those lucky people felt at 19:56 gives me goose bumps but to actually be there must have been incredible. Trance will never die in my heart neither will hard house even though it's time may be passed, it's never to late for us to see this again and hopefully I get to attend for some real music! Viva la trance!
I saw Rank1 at Innercity 1999 in Amsterdam where the played Airwave for 1 of the first times, it was an experience i will never forget. At the time i was working in a record shop and i plugged this song in the Netherlands unfortunaly ID&T chose the radio version for the charts, and in my opinion they chose the wrong version and they never got in the top 20. Btw this mini concert was and bonus dvd with a special version of the album Symsonic wich i have and treasure.
Saw them at Innercity 2000 in Brussels. They played it 2 times there. It was also the music used for the TV commercials on national TV. It was a change from the washing powder ads.
@@JimiLaMort Even if he's only playing a single melody or something at certain moments, I'd say that's more 'live' than pressing play on a fucking CD player, wouldn't you? You gatekeeper types are fucking pathetic. No logic to anything you say. 'That's not real DJ-ing' is the same shit as 'play a real instrument,' but with more hypocrisy.
Filming with mobile radiation devices...if only people would read the small print actually on a menu in their phones...I dont even own a mobile, far to dangerous, hence why the UK government said by 2020 cancer will be 1 in 2!!! 1999 was THE year of Trance, love it. Not bad for a 50 year old toking trancer ;)
Grande era Trance in Svizzera!!!!! Italia presente.... Io c'ero!!!!! E dopo OXA!!!!!! Che ricordi........ ❤️❤️Grazie a tutti per quel periodo magico!!!!
I'm so jealous of everyone that was alive to see this era of Trance in all it's glory. Unfortunately I had only just been born, even so from this set I feel nostalgia of a time I didn't experience
Many people in these comments are saying it's so great to see a time before smartphones. Back in those days we always brought 1 disposable Kodak camera to parties like this. This means we literally had 24 pictures to take for the entire night. Super glad we did, looking back at those gritty pics is such an amazing trip down memory lane!
Proper trance session! The clubbers of today only care about what they look like and get the best video on their phones that they can. Back then it was no smart phones, people didn’t give a fuck what they looked like. We just went for the music, the people, the pills and not forgetting that important bottle of water!! 40 now and miss it all. Rank 1 where absolutely superb. Some of the best tracks back in the day. Will never get sick of listening to it.
Those were days of real trance and trance was number one back in 2002 . House wasn't as big . D&B wasn't even popular . Dubstep wasn't even around . Pop music was pop music with out the electronic sound what times I was 15 years old and I loved trance . I am 26 now and I still do but I miss the days when trance was mainstream and popular .
Oh shit I remember being a huge rank1 fan and downloading this from somewhere and the anticipation after spending the whole night downloading was insane! I think I still have it on an old hard drive.
Got my Symsonic DVD back in the day. Paid an arm and a leg to get it shipped to the US lol... I came across it in an old binder. I'll be working on a remastering.
What a live performance this is. I seen rank 1 at creamfields way back in 2000 and they where fucking awesome. Long live the memories and trance music. ✌️
Nowadays productions don't have this punch and Art as 1995 till 2003... Simple bassdrums, simple melodies... Nothing comparyble to the old times... Heading forward to the ASOT 1000 CLASSIC FLOOR in, 2021 🤗😅
Will we ever experience such good music at raves and festivals? Why was I born so late and miss all the good events, today's music suck ;( I'm a young producer and i'm gonna try to bring back the old school trance vibes, still learning music theory and music production, if anyone can help me out with my quest, plz do so for the love of trance music!
Pier Sam I was born in the wrong era too I'm 16 now and I'm growing up in the shitiest era with the most lame music to date and the worst thing is that is going to get worse, if you can bring this masterpiece back I will fully support you :) and I want to bring this masterpiece back
Dac DT-HD Im in a similar boat to you. I am currently 19 and watching people like tiesto and other great artists fall to crap.. I grew up to my dad mixing music like this for hours with 2 other friends on his pirate radio station at the age of 10 . We were both born at the wrong time brother. But we were clearly raised correctly. But its never to late to make a comeback!
Wow, one of the best things I ever heard. I have been to trance festivals since the late 80´s but this is the rreal trance as I remember it. Greetz from Holland!
