Was initially excited for the city connects, but after seeing the most recent ones released I can't help but think that Nike stopped trying. I hate how Baltimore's is an all black plain jumpsuit with the city details hidden making it sound like a pretentious art piece.

The Red Sox unis are the colors are the colors of the Boston Athletic Association the group that runs the Boston Marathon and they first appeared after the marathon bombing. “Traditionalists” in Boston have no problem with this set of colors and the team has performed pretty well in them as well.

As you can see from my profile picture, I’m a big lifelong Reds fan and I love our look as well! Unfortunately, I have cerebral palsy and am wheelchair bound and thus have very limited, spare cash so I haven’t been able to afford the actual jersey yet, but nothing was gonna stop me from getting my hat especially since I’m a 7 5/8 so I never get that many in stock in my size so I knew I had to jump on it quickly. I was really nervous about how they would turn out, but I could not be happier! Using the Cincy nickname, for the city is a big tribute as well.

Loved your list ! And not just because I'm a Reds fan ! Cincy is known for "Cincinnati Style Chili", " Goetta, Montgomery Inn Ribs, LaRosa's Pizza and Greater's Ice Cream as well as WAAAAY back in the day being one of the top sausage producers ( hence the "Flying Pig" Marathon and the city nickname of "Porkopolis" ) and having TONS of Breweries. I think it would have been tough to incorporate all that in a Uni ! So, I think they did an excellent job !

@@darthgapher787 Life-long south Louisiana resident here. I adopted the Reds as "my" baseball team in the early '70s. While I think the Reds' all-white home unis are one of the classiest looking in all sports, I can't stand these city connects. At first I thought it was because of the all-black look, but after seeing the White Sox all blacks on this video I realize it is the lack of contrast. I only get to see the Reds in post-game hilites and you can barely see any of the detail on screen.

As a Rangers fan, the City Connects are growing on me. Oddly it is shoulder logo aka the Peagle (Panther and Eagle hybrid) that became the hit of the jersey and items that feature it are stuff that sells out the quickest.

I despise the Pirates one. I heard a rumor they had a design that included the Clemente bridge and said “steel city”, but Nike got offended because of the clothing brand “steel city” and made them change the design at the last minute.

Diamondbacks (2021) had white pants with their City Connect In 2022 they changed their pants to the same color as their City Connect Jersey Dodgers (2021) hat said Los Dodgers In 2022 they changed the hat to LA and a black brim In 2023 they switched to white pants instead Giants (2021) wore their regular helmets with their City Connect uniforms In 2022 they got a City Connect helmet to match their uniforms Rockies (2022) wore green pants with their City Connects 2023 they now wear white pants with their City Connects in day games, and green pants in night games Other: Some teams removed patches from their City Connects to make room for Ad Sponsor patches

As a Pirates fan we could have done so much better, they practically made there old retro jersey a little more detailed and the just ruined them, I would have loved to see an all black uniform with the word “Steel City” across the front in a faunt that looks like steel beams

I hated the Reds city connect first seeing them online. The weekend they were released my family took me to a Reds v Yankees game the day after they released. Seeing them in the shop with the cap big difference in person. This jersey really looks classy while the C on the cap is a real change from the wishbone C. So I had to add this to my jersey/cap collection.

In my opinion, only a few of them are good while the rest are actually horrendous. The only ones that I actually like are the White Sox, Houston, Washington, and San Diego. I am really looking forward to see what teams like the Cardinals, Yankees, Mets, and Tigers do.

One thing I think might have put the Astros at # 1 is to incorporate the old "Hawaiian Shirt" into the right or left side of the jersey..and have those colors in bars, like a graph, the longest bar starting just under an armpit and descending order to the middle of the jersey front. Don't know if I explained it clearly...but I can see it in my head.

I like the Dodgers uni’s I think it looks dope af! I like the all blue. Cubs look cool. Mariners looks sick even tho we’ve seen it before. Houston (as much as I hate to admit) I think is pretty damn dope! They killed. Houston, ur uni’s have no problem lol. Nationals look cool too….anymore pink would be overkill. The Oakland A's kelly green "Oakland" jersey might as well be the team's city connect jersey, since they won't be in Oakland for very long. By 2025, all 30 MLB teams will be wearing a city connect/alternate uniform. The Twins "Twin Cities" home alternate uniform is really their city connect.

Super bias opinion but i love the Red Sox city connect and I think they’re the best. Completely different from the norm and such a connection to the city and the marathon which has become such a part of the team and it’s history. Not to mention they play a hell of a lot better when they wear them.

Colorado has become my favorite City Connect. My favorite of the jerseys for sure. I think most of the uniforms look better with the short pants/tall socks configuration. Unfortunately, players love the long pants these days. Wastes all the neat sock art.

I love the look and the thought put into the Texas Rangers city connect uniforms. The look has actually grown in popularity with Rangers fans recently. SO much that they're going to start wearing them an extra day. I bought the hat and get compliments on it all the time. I love the old school baseball look also.

Great scoring, I thought Southside was going to be #1 on everyone’s lists. It’s that font that is a top choice of tattooists, you see it in many city’s neighborhoods regardless of which side you come from. It just works. I like Houston, Colorado and San Diego too!

Royals logo looks like a waterfall... ("City Connect" may have been the wrong theme - since half of them are Non-Urban and more pastoral...) Also the CINCY on the Reds reflect the actual neon signage of the convention center.

I have never liked the idea of the City Connect jerseys. Some teams however did an awesome job like Cincy, Miami, and the White Sox. Colorado's have grown on me and KC's are very underrated. I absolutely despise the Red Sox and Padres uniforms though. Those jersey are gosh awful! I get wanting to represent the city but if you have to abandon the brand and colors of the team than you shouldn't do it. It's why I hate the NBA doing it. I turn on a game and have no clue who is playing. One thing fans identify with is the colors and uniforms, so I don't think teams should abandon their team colors or brand.

Part of it is being legally blind but I need to see more light and contrast, my favorites are ones like the Rockies, Padres, Marlins, etc. I think part of the problem with a few of these lower ranked teams is the uniforms already do a good job of connecting to the city, the Pirates especially. The pattern isn't a whole lot different from the 3 circles around the caps from back in the 70s. And yet, if they had gone much further with the steel beams, people would have accused them of copying the NFL team. It's hard when you have 2 teams in the same city to not just go with a neighborhood, and I do love the Cubs and White Sox for that, but Wrigleyville should have had some ivy somewhere :) Although I do admit that it would have been hard to show the amazingness of a ballpark just appearing as you are walking in a residential neighborhood. Which is what thrilled me when I went there in 1990 with my parents.

The NY Mets city Connects are a little more than 2 hours away from being released. As a fan seeing the "leaks" im ok with the colors. Purple on dark gray for the 7 train. Which goes right to citi field. But if the leaks are spot on theres atleast 1 thing i feel they missed. The players number in a purple circle on the front (like the trains line number) sort of how the angels have their number in a diamond on the front. And the Mets have had their number on the front as well since like, the 60s i believe? A 2nd thing, and this is way less important lol. The braves had Ludacris in their City Connect unveil lol. The Mets have to have Nas in theirs lmao. Guess we'll see in a few hours.

My main issue with the Giants CC unis is that the orange is to bright. I like the fog effect and GG Bridge on the sleeves. But in reality the orange on the bridge is a darker shade. They don't have to match the bridge color exactly. If they toned down the orange brightness just a bit I would like it a lot better.

The Nationals had and have the best city connects and honestly it's hard to imagine how any other team could come up with something better. The Grey with the pink cherry blossoms are a thing of beauty. For a team with such abysmal normal unis it's a wonder they could ever have dreamed these up. If I were in charge i'd think long and hard about figuring a way to make the city connects their normal ones. In my opinion 2 California teams are the worst by far. The Dodgers are the worst, no wait the Giants...No the Dodgers... either way they are the worst 2. The Padres unis took bigger guts than the Red Sox in terms of out there departures from the usual colors.

Sorry but that Braves uniform you're talking about is not an alternate uniform. It was a special one they used every once in a while, not even once a year. I was disappointed with the City connects but not because they were already wearing an alternate similar but because it looked so similar to the 1970's Braves unis. But on their own merits the Braves city connects should be much, much higher.

As a Seattle Mariners fan, I hate their city connect uniforms. Their regular uniforms have such a beautiful teal color, and then they go and destroy it with such a generic blue.
